I don't live on the west coast actually...one province in. Edmonton Alberta...and hell ya, if I'm down that way, I'll make sure to let you know. I'd love to see LA from the local's perspective!

and I love Seattle...and yes, I'm biased as a Hawk fan, but it's a great city. The new baseball and football stadium were not only great additions to the city, but they really started the ball rolling on a whole revitalization of that part of the city too and they've been extremely successful doing so.

Always wanted to visit Alberta and the rest of the provinces since my uncle forced me to learn hockey and the Canadian anthem at age 5. You must be an Oiler fan i would assume?

LA isn't a place you visit if you don't have the right places to go. One place that I always take my friends when they're in town is a backdoor tour of the Forest Lawn Cemetary Mosoleum which is closed to the public. My friends are in awe once inside and you can see Michael Jackson, Walt Disney, etc.

that would be cool. I've toured a couple Seattle cemetaries over the years...Jimi Hendrix, Bruce and Brandon Lee etc. Pretty cool.

I'm a life long Montreal Canadiens fan actually...even though I live in Alberta, yes. I spent the first 8 years in Manitoba where everyone was a leaf fan or a Habs fan so I became a habs fan and it's stuck through all the years.

Alberta is a great place to visit. Lots of great skiing in the winter. Lots of great golfing and fishing etc in the summer. Banff is only 45 minutes down the road from where I live M-F, Jasper is 4 hours from my regular home.

As a child, I was heartbroken when Roy and the Habs beat my Kings (with a little help of Marty McSorely. My uncle who got me into hockey is a Habs fan too. I guess the only difference between me and you is the fact that you're probably a foot taller than me :-/

Probably TMI but I met my wife when I was 23 years old, i'm 28 now. At the time, she was 33 years old, had 2 kids and was in the process of a divorce from her husband. So in a span of 5 years, I went from being single to getting married, having 2 step-children, a child of my own and took in her nephew. I have gray hair to prove the effects of going from single to a family of 6.

I definitely outkicked my coverage because who the hell gets with a 23 year old when you have 2 kids? I'm definitely lucky.

Hey man good on you for being a step-dad and a (likely) a father figure to a nephew!

Thank you. The older son (17 next month) was tough to live with but we learned to get along. At first, It was hard for him to accept a man that was the same age difference from me to him as me to his mom. The nephew is 14 and a lot more respectful and courteous. I try to make his time in my house as comfortable as his life with his parents were far from stable.

The funny thing is when I told my mom at 23 that I was getting with a 33 year old woman with 2 kids, she thought I was crazy. Now that I think of it, If my kids were to do the same I would probably tell them not to do it as well. Such is life that we all learn only by living it.
