because we won 4 outta 6 to end 2011

because we won 4 outta 6 to end 2009

Ending strong isn't new to us

true it isn't something new but given the biggest reason for the late run last year was Cam playing well which is new. It gives me hope that next year will be different rather than more of the same. Hey it is March and if you can't be optimistic now then you never will.

You would think it was November and we were 2-8. Isn't this the team that won 4 out of our 5 games? Why all the doom and gloom. We already have most of the pieces we need to compete next year already. We aren't Cleveland or Miami. With a few breaks we should have won 10 games last year.

The fact we won 7 and people were so pissed off speaks to the fact everyone expected more based on the talent on this team. We might not be a contender for the Super Bowl this year but I do think we will be playing meaningful games in December next Fall.

It's not about how good we were at the end of last year. It's how much better other teams are getting. We're basically vying for 3rd place with the saints. The Bucs were active in free agency in the defensive side with an elite cheap rookie RB and ready to take the next stride with plenty money to spend. So they'll probably take 2nd place in that the division(At least on paper). three teams from the same division to the playoffs? I doubt it.

I'm honestly not too worried right now---If we draft well, restructure Gross, find some bargain free agents, and possibly re-sign Dwan and/or Cap ---we basically have the same team as last year, plus our picks.

The key to any franchise like the Panthers is drafting well. If we start doing that, we have the talent to make multiple runs in the coming years.

Forgive me for not seeing your logic at all. I don't see any other team in the division making big strides. About the only pickup worth a damn was Steven Jackson and that wasn't that much of an upgrade. No I don't think we are any worse off at this point.

The Bucs made ALOT of moves last year and it didn't do them that much good. Also we should have swept Atlanta and showed we can go toe to toe with them anytime. It's rare that anything that happens in FA in March affects the season that much(unless you just traded for Peyton Manning). Ask Philly.

Amazing how some teams cut everyone, have salary cap hell, go with rookies, and win (Colts as an example)....then, there are the Panthers...never at a loss for an excuse or scape goat for losing...year after year after year.

It's the owner, its Fox, its Hurney, this player is hurt, his player isn't playing to potential, Cam isn't a leader, Cam has a towel on his head, 'this player needs to be cut (insert name her) on and on and on.

The NFL sure has a bunch of suckers coughing up money for tickets, including me.

Some organizations know how to win and some know how to lose. Maybe, it is as simple as that.

Freaking hit the nail on the head

I know what I am gonna say is not going to be popular, but in old school NFL (which is what JR thinks and acts like he is in) it took an average of 3 years for Qb"s to develope. I have faith tht this being the 3rd year we will see the team that could not close games out do just that. This team has been great, just not great at winning and the stupid mistakes made on the field are mostly mental and that can be fixed.

I will withold judgement on this up coming season until about week 5. We have plenty of time. And honestly players don't matter, points do. We will see.

Right On. Steven Jackson doesn't scare me at this point in his career. fug the Birds, Gay Pirates, and the Gator Fukkers

We got VERY lucky behind that OL last year....gamble again and we could pay. It was a miracle what Cam did behind and it Kalil coming back doesn't solve it.

We also are taking a big gamble at LB counting on Beason and Davis to be healthy and good.

We also our counting on our DE duo to repeat what they did last year...to hide our secondary
