I guess Goodell's plan is working? Football and its refs get a little worse each year and in the meantime they sell boring ass soccer to the public. It'll be funny when soccer ratings lose out to nfl classic games!

Will never happen. Soccer is too big. One World Cup game in every 4years will be the rating

Guys something we do have to think about. This is not the same game from 20 years ago or even 10 years ago. The players keep getting bigger, stronger and faster. This triple threat make s the game more dangerous to all players.

Do I like some of the new rules? No. Do I understand the new rules and why they're being presented to the owners for a vote? Yes.

I'm sure alot of this is in response to ex nfl players filing lawsuits left and right...then again alot of the lawsuits are probably in response to these ex players going broke. So would it be illogical to pin the ruining of our game on players not knowing how to budget?

that and no one ever taught them the meaning of full contact, apparently.

That doesn't even make any sense. The same principle holds for both... BOTH are lowering their head to initiate contact.

Yes, but while the defense player is making a tackle, he doesn't have to worry about 10 other guys trying to hit him at the same time. A offensive player has to protect himself, so unless they are just suppose to fall down, the only other option is to lower their pads.

As I understand it, its leading with the crown of the helmet that is the problem. The rule is meant to make lowering the shoulder a more popular option.

If you think about it, its just an added curl of your upper body ever so slightly, in order to avoid leading with the crown.

That's going to be so ridiculously arbitrary it's not even funny. Were just getting the refs more involved in the game which has been shown a thousand times over to reduce the quality of the sport.

OUTSIDE OF THE TACKLE BOX. Let me say this again so everyone understands this. OUTSIDE OF THE TACKLE BOX. It will not affect cam on the one yard line because he will still be in that area. The only time it will affect an rb or a runner is when they break a run for about more then five yards. They'll just have to lead with the shoulder instead. It probably won't pass but the nfl is trying to not get sued out of existence so they have to change the game. Not saying I agree with the changes but that's why they are doing it.

So basically your gif is a great example of what Cam cannot do anymore... This blows.
