Then why the fug did Gettleman do this?

I could guess a thousand different things...

For example, has anyone actually seen Gettlemen and Hurney together at the same time. Maybe Finlke is Einhorn...Maybe Hurney just gets prostetics, makeup, and uses an accent...

maybe we do run the wishbone...

maybe DWill is a June 1 cut bc every other team in the NFL would make that move...

Vikings paid 65 million for one rb.

Until jackson was cut, he was a 55 million dollar man.

The money paid to our back field isn't out of whack at all, considering the talent we have.

Argue alll you want to how they haven't lived up to their contracts, which their production hasn't. That isn't their fault. It also isn't the fault of the man that gave them.their contracts.

You have to pay to retain talent Our back field is very talented.

Williams isn't going anywhere. Nobody is going to trade for him unless their desperate.

Our backfield will remain aa it is for another season, as we save no real money by changing it.

We should be grateful to have the talent and depth we have. Instead all most can do is bitch, cause they feel having that much talent in the backfield is holding the team back from being better.

tolbert is also theost talented FB we've had in the history of the franchise.

Bang for your buck...

Do the Vikings have a backup sitting on the sidelines getting the amount of snaps Williams will with a healthy roster? accounting for that type cap space? 2012 we had a hurt backfield...

2012

Peterson - 11 mill cap hit

Williams - 7 million cap hit

Peterson - 2,097 rush yards, 12 rush TDs

Williams - 737 rush yards, 5 rush TDs

About having the best team....devoting that much cap space to a role player on the sidelines isn't the way to put the best team on the field. Who cares about bragging about guys on the sideline...

We don't and can't use them to be worth the investment. Newton team now...

Doesn't matter how "talented" they are if they don't produce. AP out did all three of our backs combined for a cheaper price, so not sure how you compare them. There is a big difference between SJax and AP which completely put the offense on their back, and our situation, where Cam puts the offense on his back.

Doesn't matter the type.of.qb.Cam is. The.more talent around.him, the better. That includes the.back field

On the field talent > depth talent

Over investing in depth limits what your on field talent can be

and talent at QB, scheme, etc. dictates where you invest on the field....Carolina isn't the place you load up on RBs at the moment (which is why a QB and FB out produced Double Trouble in rushing)
