I hate how everyone on this board thinks they are the next John Clayton when they are reporting somebody else's opinions and breaking stories.

He'll probably just resign at the agreed salary... right?

They said that the problem with that is because they had to release him, it has it's own cap implications, so they might not be able to bring him back for the same money as they would still have the cap hit, basically making it like they never cut him for cap purposes

His release accelerated signing bonus money spread out over future years to this year's cap (to the tune of 5M). Denver would have to give him that money as a signing bonus in a new multi-year deal.

I don't know, but I have a feeling that whoever was in charge of filing it within the Broncos front office will also be 'released.'

When asked for comment on the matter, a Broncos employee was quoted as saying "PC load letter? What the @$%& does that mean?" :unsure:

It is possible he could land in our division, though the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that the Saints are, at least at this point, not "actively pursuing" him.
