I think what Panthers fans have to be scared of is the motive for the NFL to move Carolina to LA with possibly one of the most marketable players in sports history on the roster.

That is why I feel we are not so far down the list as people think. When the NFL does return to LA, and it will happen, they want it to be an immediate success. They do not want to put a franchise there that will not generate interest. What other team could possibly move there that would bring the same type of excitement that Cam would?

Owning the stadium is what makes moving easy, they have no lease. The NFL leases are super expensive with usually ridiculous buyouts. JR could keep the stadium in Charlotte open for events year round to make the money to keep it up.

They do some stuff and have fulfilled around 950 grants in 14 years, but mostly small grants, with only a few larger ones.

And they have stockpiled 600 million dollars of taxpayer money which it currently is pretty much sitting on.

The GA either needs to stop the flood of taxpayer money going to the foundation, or it need to require them to spend it rather than stockpile it. I don't care either way, but it is ridiculous that they have over a half of a billion dollars in taxpayer money in their war chest.

The stadium being full with panther fans will come when the younger generation fans get older and are able to afford seats. The first generation of panther fans typically liked another team before the panthers existed so they dont have that die hard loyalty that the younger fans do. Give it time.

Although we don't hear from them as much after 4 non winning seasons.
