Funny how all the Republicans on this board who have stood party lines and railed against any tax increases and fought government involvement at all levels are now screaming for a tax hike and begging the state government to step up and keep their beloved Panthers in Charlotte.

1. the tax increases on luxury/service items, not on incomes, capital gain (for investing, etc) or things people actually need like the democrats’ want to do. Main things the tax hit are restaurants rental, cars and hotels.

2. fix the waste, fraud, abuse and out of touch spending, and fiscally response people can handle a tax increase, if still needed.

I've been talking about this for a while now. This is far more important (having a team) than "who will be the third trade for the third round replacement backup after the fifth option on the reserve line backer". Idiots in Raleigh do not understand the value that a NFL team brings to a region . And please don't quote some "study" from a college professor that says it dosen't.

Let's be honest. The only region the Panthers bring value to is Charlotte to SC. Everybody else in the state of NC doesn't benefit from the Panthers. The only time most people get to see the game is on TV. I been a fan my whole life and I never been to a Panthers game.

There would be riots in Charlotte if the Panthers left. I would be there with them to. I love NFL football, but the Panthers make me love it even more. Don't even know if i could watch the NFL anymore without a team in the Carolinas.

I understand what you are saying. I guess what i'm really trying to say is if the Panthers was in a city like Raleigh the whole state would benefit from it. Charlotte is like a whole different state compared to the rest of NC. Plus Charlotte is really far away.

My Grandpa is from south eastern NC and hes been a die hard fan of the Panthers since '95 don't tell me nothin about how CHA is the only area of NC with Panther fans

It also seems that most of the people here are from outside of the Clt area....especially the Raleigh area.
