Hurney dug a substantial hole. It will take time to dig our way out of the financial mess. We won't get out of the hole if we treat free-agency the way some here expect. Breaking the bank is what got us into this mess to begin with.

just because we haven't done much in the first couple days of free agency doesn't mean we aren't going to. theres still a ton of talent available and prices are still higher than they will should be and gettleman is still also working on trying to fix the cap, make room, and make sure we're in good shape capwise in two, three, and four years plus he's got a draft to get ready for.

theres a whole lot of stuff going on. just breathe or walk away for a while because it's obvious some can't handle the stress.

Yes he will fill our needs, but not with the big names players other teams and getting right now. Like years past we will be stuck with scrubs and hope we can win 7 to 8 games this coming year. Bottom line we just don't have the money to get big name players the year or next year. Hopefully in a few years we will be able to finally get some big names to play for us. But for now we are stuck with scrubs or old guys to fill out holes.

A lot of these young guys don't understand "No Money" they have watched our Gov't spend money it didn't have all their lives. Why can't the Panthers. Sad.

Three things you can count on the Panthers do to every offseason

1. Redefine the term bargain hunting. Whereas most teams seeing it as getting good players for good deals, the Panthers literally make every effort to show their cleverness/ faith in "the plan" by signing players who would struggle to make most NFLrosters/not pose a direct threat to one of Jerry's boys.

2. Not doing anything, regardless of the time frame. Except maybe some tennis.

3. Adamantly stick to their plan, and recite tired dated cliches about their philosophy which apologists will then take as religious text and recite it on the Huddle over and over again for years and years like some sort idiotic parrot even though the Panthers experience losing season after losing season because they refuse to come into this century. By boy gee golly, least we ain't gotta go admittin that we been doin it wrong.
