Making it into the NFL is a combination of factors.

Genetics, upbringing, hardwork, what college you went to, luck, who you know, intelligence (varies depending on the position) etc...are factors.

To say genetics has nothing or everything to do with it is horsesh1t..it is a big factor regardless.

To say genetics has nothing or everything to do with it is horsesh1t..it is a big factor regardless.

Genetics can make it easier but even people with "inferior" genetics can still get themselves in peak physical condition, it just takes more work. Also, there's a large variance, you can't take the average of a race and apply it to each individual.

I'll always believe that focus, determination and willpower are the most important factors, regardless of your goals. People rarely lack enough potential, they just lack the proper mentality to maximize the potential they have.
