Makes sense, but it's surprising to see them looking at QB's this year especially after re-signing Derek Anderson. Should be investing in guys to protect Cam at this point.

Look what the Redskins did last year drafting Kirk Cousins. No one expected them to draft another QB but it pays to have a competent backup. With Cam's playing style and the Panthers terrible O-Line, he could very well go down for an extended period of time. Too bad they didn't draft Russell Wilson last year...would have killed two birds with one stone (keeping the Seahawks from being a contender, and having a backup that could step in and win)
