Is no one else willing to restructure?

That is incorrect actually.

Jon has already been paid his bonus money, he got that check when he signed his contract.

The bonus is spread out over the cap in numbers, but the actual check has been cashed.

We would save his salary and be forced to count the remaining value of the bonus against our cap: Dead money.

Yes, you're right. Doesn't make any difference if we already paid it or if it's accouting coming due agaist the cap. His contract is still very difficult to restucture and have it make any sense for the Panthers yet people keep saying he needs to take a paycut or we need to restructure him. Somebody tell me how'd they restructure.

It's not like Grosses contract where we could actually offer him something like more guanteed money then he'd get on the open market. That's incentive for him to do a deal instead of getting cut and making that same lower money deal we're probably offering in the first place.

There is no reason for Beason to restructure or take a paycut from a business standpoint. Players ONLY resturcture if it means more guanteed money. Either up front or in the form of it's more than they'd make if they got cut and signed with another team.

I'm just saying for Gross and Beason to be 'leaders' they sure aren't showing it, if we had the ability to restructure Cam's contract, he would probably be the first to volunteer cause he wants to WIN. And he understands moves in FA will help that. Tired of everyone being called 'stand up guys' when they're watching the team crumble.

preach on brother, preach on...we should let them take care of the interviews after loses next year instead of Came
