..And just like that... OLB is a huge need.

lol, ok if Beason or Davis go down and we have crap play from a 'dime a dozen' player we got, I don't want to hear any complaining. This nonchalant attitude about the OLB position is unwarranted.

It's about Quality, having a quality back up is essential. Especially in the LB core. Davis and Beason's health are suspect. I'm hoping for the best but this "we can get another just like that" notion is ridiculous.

If I recall, Senn filled in at MLB for Beason when he went down before we drafted Keachly. I did a a good good job and that is one reason we brought him back. the other reason is for special teams. If we can pick up a DT, our LB position gets much better.

That can be said about any position.

But, in today's salary cap world (where your top players cost a fortune), you CANNOT afford to pay starter money to back-ups.

Its a need but mid round..cheap bet need. Shaun Phillips is out there as is a ton of other lbers that are above avg. this market is saturated and teams are going to find playeres taking chap 1yr contracts to play for next season pay.

Mid round potential like a James Anderson type lber is good enough to get in the 4-6th.

That can be said for QB, tackle, guard, center, safety, cornerback, wide receiver......
