Chiefs reached agreement in principle on three-year deal with former Saints QB Chase Daniel, who played at Missouri.

Normally I wouldn't care about a backup QB signing, most backup QBs are backups for a reason, they just aren't that good. So a team signing one bad backup QB instead of another bad backup QB isn't really noteworthy to me.

But I just saw it reported that the Chiefs gave him a deal worth over $3 million a year. For a guy that's attempted 9 passes in the NFL.

Like the Colts signing so far.

Toler and Thomas are excellent pick ups and with the Colts moving to a 3-4 having Walden around can't hurt.

All four of their signings are smart deals that don't have a big impact cap wise and they will all start.

Colts GM is young and has only been a GM in the NFL for a little over a year now and is going nuts on day 1 of free agency. Not really surprising.
