Still not buying into Tavon as a deep threat, but he might be a good Wes Welker type of slot. If you notice most slots always catch a lot of balls anyways, but sometimes deep threat will catch a lot of balls too.

Difference is that deep threats avg 15 yards per catch when they snab a 100 balls and slots avg 11 yards per catch when they snab a 100 balls.

You look at avg per catch to see if a guy is a deep threat. Sorry guys unless you come with numbers......IM NOT GOING TO LISTEN. Patton can play in the slot and the outside. And he has not reached his potential...lol I bet they thought Jerry Rice had reached his ceiling because he came fro a small school. LOL

I have not seen many deep threats in the NFL that did not show that ability in college.

Even an undrafted free agent like Victor Cruz wasn't just a unknown slouch. DUDE was a DEEP THREAT IN COLLEGE. He just happened to go to a small school.

Bring more stats and facts or don't bother replying back. PEACE!

I dont think he can be a constant deep threat on the outside. He has the speed to burn, but he's too small (hes no 89). Tavon is not one who's going to burn you. He's not the same player as Welker, and shouldnt be look with Welker. Tavon is more Percy Harvin, where he's going to get all the yardages after the ball is in his hands. He has the ability to make plays after the catch. IMO, I really think that Austin is a "polished out" Percy Harvin.

Well you see I tried to explain it to you a few pages back. I guess you cant just comprehend what was explained to you. As for the wv shades I dont have them. There have been plenty of WVU players I have warned to stay clear of in the past.

Yeah, but Percy is physical man. Tavon has to dodge hits and he is so small. He might be able to withstand those hits, but I doubt it...Percy barely does.

And Welker is the lead guy for small quick slots. I just say his name to give you an idea of the type of slot he is. I know Tavon compares to Percy more, but Vikings went to the playoffs without Percy. So while he is a good player, lets's not get bent out of shape over the guy.

Percy is a huge @ss motha fawker. Tavon is a lot smaller, but he's probably better built than Desean.

If Desean can take hits, I see no problem why Tavon cant. Its not like he's a back that we need to worry about if he'll be able to stand hits.

Okay man.......GO. Just tell me with stats and videos on why YOU think Tavon will be a slot and deep threat.

And I swear I won't respond unless it's an in depth and serious question. I will not criticize or try to make an argument against you. Just go and take your time. Because I have watched Tavon the best I can, but I don't see what you guys are saying about him. So since you watch him all the time, just enlighten me. By the way just so you know, I think Tavon can be a decent slot just not a deep threat in the Nfl...so start from there.

People thinks that Percy is small, bc he looks small in pads (smitty also look smaller in pads).

Look at him without pads.

I think that was also the last time I've seen D Jax go over the middle.

Smitty is one kind of a person. Even Fitz or Megatron arent able to take hits like 89 constantly. Im telling you Fitz and Megatron would have just as hard a time taking that hit from Robinson like Desean did. Dont ever compare anyone to 89. No one is built like him. ONLY HIM

already did earlier in the thread. Not wasting my time typing it again. Go look it up in the thread. One other thing that I am repeating is Austin is more than a Slot receiver. Something else you fail to reliase.
