DeAndre Hopkins

That's what got me twisted. He isn't the elite athlete that changes the game for your team. But he is such a good WR and somebody I can see putting up great numbers as a #1 for years. I just can't figure it out.

If you think he's a Roddy White or Hakeem Nicks type then I think he's worth taking at 14. Plus, he doesn't give off this diva vibe that many WRs do. He kinda just goes about his business.

I was in love with him in the 2nd or later in the 1st (anywhere in the 20') but at 14 I don't know.

I agree, trading back would be ideal but how far do you go back? It wouldn't be out of the question for the Rams to take him at 16 and almost all the teams between 21-32 could be interested in taking a WR.

The Rams have 2 young WR they just drafted so I think they are looking more for a vet and draft OLine. Maybe the Vikes want to jump up and get Patterson or Allen if the Phins pass on 1 or both of them and we get their 2 1st round picks. But in all honest that's me day dreaming.

Did the other WR put up 83rec. 1,405 yards and 18td in 1 season? That kind of production opens eyes fast.

If we're talking putting together the stat sheets, the actual tape, and the potential to translate in the NFL, I'd say Terrance Williams, DeAndre Hopkins, & Quinton Patton would be the most appealing from my perspective. But a lot more goes into the equation.

His tape matches his production. Great hands getting open with good route running more then athletic ability. Being a go to number 1 wr. It all shows in the tape and production.

I agree. I mean, if we're looking at Hopkins, Allen, Patterson, & Austin in the 1st, then proceed to bring them all in and take a good look, I think DeAndre has a good chance of coming out the favorite.

i really like hopkins and im starting to look at it like this, in this draft class is there really much difference between say the 14 and 22 pick? if you want hopkins in the 20's why not take him at 14 this class starts getting weak around 12

Contract size, extra picks. While I agree to a certain extent that due to the strength, or lack of it, of the class it doesn't make much difference talent wise between those two spots, it still makes sense to try and trade back if you think your guy is available later.
