The MLB draft is enormous. They'll draft people who haven't even played before, and most of them won't. Matt Moore was a 22nd round pick a few years ago, so this is nothing to worry about.

Teams won't let him, risk of injury, and Training Camp goes on during the MLB season. I would think he would go where he can get the most playing time along with the most money.

Many players drafted in baseball do not sign in hopes of playing college ball or finishing college ball in hopes of being drafted higher.
