How do you feel, now, after dissing Pep?

Let's see, so far this offseason he's paralized the front office not allowing any significant free agent signings and in fact hindered the resigning of our badly needed departing free agents.

Forced the FO to trade next years #1 in order to assure we had a replacement defensive end in Everett Brown. Publically crapped all over the Panther organization. All at the behest of an under qualified over his head personal Agent. Everything he's done this offseason is the wrong way to do it.

Peppers deserves all the criticism he's received for his actions these past months. Apparently coming to the realization he's not going anywhere and must sign his Franchise Tender at some point he's casually announced he'd be at camp. Duh. Now come in, man up figure out how you're going to save face and sign a contract extension. Then let your play on the field reach that potential you haven't achieved by hard work and desire.

The Panthers FO has handled the entire situation with class, kudos to Mr. Richardson and GM Hurney.

I get your point KG, and even respect it, but everything that has been done/not done is a two-way street. Nothing done has been out of the realm of reality or reason. The NFL's rules and procedures are what they are. The FO knew what the possibilities were when they tagged him. They knew, and should have known, that there was a high probability that this situation would end up exactly like it is. Anyone who has been scrutinizing the situation knew that there was a likelihood of everything that you have insinuated is a reason for Pep's criticism. I really don't mind find reasonable criticism so distasteful (and that goes for any one associated with the organization), but to be personal, patronizing and condescending about Pep's good career here at Carolina is unacceptable in my book. He has been a straight up guy on and off the field and has only played by "the rules of the game."

I agree with Mintal on this. There is no loyalty in business, never has and never will be. But I can also see the other side of it in that he has slowed down the team from being able to take care of their business. And here is a question for ya. If he is coming back to the team and since he is in Arizona, I bet they can FAX (or FEDEX it, what the hell ever!) him the tender to sign or a new contract if he wants one. Think that will happen this week or will he drag it out to August?

Well, if it were me, and i wanted a little solitude and time to clear my head, I'd wait until August.

He's played it this way so far. Why not finish the deal (pun intended)?

The way I see it... Pep had his bluff called, and hasn't come to grips with it to the point of signing his tender.

Look. Great, the guy has had a great career here, and wanted to move on. All the right in the world as stated before, because he played out his contract.

Now the not wanting to play here, and stating there's a short list of teams he'd go to, and only one of those team? And, did not want to play here...? Seriously.. that's like picking teams in gym class and say'n "I don't wanna be on your team" and then being the last one standing when that team needs one last player. what choice do you really have? play or don't. (tho Pep will play... for $17 Million!!)

Now... when it comes down to his "potential", I thought you controlled your own destiny... your own potential. So the DC that was here, and the rest of the coaching staff couldn't motivate Pep to be "all he can be". That says something about the person themselves does it not? YOU make YOU who YOU are or who YOU will be. It's on Pep to be Pep. I'm pretty sure he wasn't told NOT to be the best he could be. But who knows... it was Tergo.

I think there were a lot of things that could have been done on either side over the past season since he turned out his large contract to now... but ya know what... whatever.

It's not even official. I mean... I don't doubt that Pep's Agent could tell him "yeah, show up to training camp, and we'll deal withthis tender thing before the season starts" and then have them not allow Pep in TC, because teh tender isnt' signed.. cuz he Agent seems to be a moron, and Pep trusts what he says.

Who knows. it's not over yet... so, we'll see what the next chapter brings.

I hope it's a great Defensive team either way.

There's no need to do anything until August on either side, so I see it as that...

This.

I have yet begun to dis peppers if he stinks this year.

He made a business play and it didn't work out... I don't feel bad for anything.

Get a bunch of sacks and I'll be chatting about something else.

One step at a time. I am waiting to see if Peppers shows up on time. Then I wamt to see how he performs in training camp. Then preseason and in games. If he comes back and performs then I will welcome him back.. If he is a disruption or plays poorly then the situation is quite different. I can't see the future so I will have to wait and see. As long as he helps us win, then he is a welcome member of the team. I don't have to like him for him to a valuable guy.

I am going to see to see what happens and then decide how to be.

It's just so amazing to me. I don't mean anything personal to anyone, really, I just don't. But are you really telling me that you have your original jobs and have never quit for another position since your were like 16? Huh? If you have quit, since you had an ongoing contract, you broke that contract by taking off for another opportunity. You broke your contract, you simply broke it but your employer let you off because it was a poo job that was easily replaced. Peppers fulfilled the terms of his contract and for all intents and purposes was no longer a part of the team, got franchised and is still no longer a part of the team unless he decides to sign his franchise tender and he says I'd like to move on. You're all pissed off because he pissed you off on a personal level, because he doesn't want to play long term for your beloved Panthers. Shallow Hal, that's all I can say...

Like I said, I'm not pointing at anyone personally, I just can't even fathom why someone would maintain such Panthers hate for Peppers, it's just craziness to me...

It's not that I can't see there is hate, it's just that i really can't understand it, I just can't...

Why are you speaking in past tense?

i hate Julius Peppers.

I hope he goes away.

And takes his lazy, greedy, smiling million dollar a game for nothing whatsoever paycheck with him.

If I see Julius at a game, I will boo.

If I see Julius at a supermarket, I will boo.

If I see Julius at my front door, offering an apology, and season tickets, then I will boo, take the season tickets, and possibly forgive him if he doesnt try to throw this team under the bus again after the following season in an effort to further his own agenda.
