Pat McCrory says there is no money for the stadium.

I'm 100% with you on the product sucking and am just as pissed. However, the city and state need to kick in like they do for every other corporate project or special interest money grab.

An argument can be made for the City, giving "something", but for the state it's not a good investment.

I am consistently impressed on the fleece job the Panthers FO puts over on fans.

I was once too blind, but now I see.

If you can find me 5 other NFL franchises that have cost the taxpayers less money than the Panthers have I will give you a nickel (times are tough, that is all i can spare)

I don't believe #5 for a hot minute.

I understand govt giving out money to promote business. I'd be fine with money for a baseball stadium and giving money to google to build a data warehouse but these are for renovations. There's no return.

You should, we know how Carolina fans are by now...just look at the seats after halftime. And I have heard about players not liking the faculties and siging else where, in a close choice. Take it as you will...

The return is, JR does not decide to move the team elsewhere. May not happen this or next, but if he decides to move over this...they will evently.

200 million granted for 100 temp jobs ?

Wifi! and escalators!

FREE AGENTS NEED MOAR WIFI!

Im sold!

Jobs are jobs. See Obama's infrastructure plan. He doesn't distinguish between temp jobs and full time jobs.

Chiquita got $22 million from the city AND state to relocate here from Cincy. That was for an estimated 400 jobs. Siemens got $22 million from NC for their expansion in Charlotte. What did they add, a few hundred jobs? The Panthers should get state and local funding.

You know better than this comparison.

I wonder how many folks from simiens will leave their jobs to serve hohos in the new club seats...

No city should have to help out more than a 1/4 of the cost of any stadium/upgrade. In this case about 67 million sounds fair. But, that is not how business works and for the government to control it would cost more for tax payers to keep it, so in the next few short years the Panthers probably will move.
