Pat McCrory says there is no money for the stadium.

Once again for those who say McCrory is "withholding funds" and didn't read the article:

"We don’t have the money in the state to address that issue,” McCrory told the Observer Monday.

“I have never been actually asked for the $62 million, nor do we have it.”

McCrory also said the team doesn’t qualify for an incentive grant from the state Commerce department.

Even if it did, he added, the fund used up much of its money under his Democratic predecessor.

“Gov. (Bev) Perdue, in her last three months in office, used up most of the JDIG money,” McCrory said.

If you believe that you are incredibly naive.

He'll suddenly find the money next month when he has his own pet project in mind.

Well, he just found $116 million to give to MetLife.

Note: I find it more appropriate to give a company bringing 2,600 jobs to NC incentive money than a professional sports franchise that benefits only a handful of people in the state.

In what’s billed as the biggest jobs announcement in state history, Gov. Pat McCrory Thursday announced the arrival of 2,600 jobs with insurance giant MetLife, with half coming to Charlotte.

If thats what you think then I am sorry to let you down. I'd rather give $100M to MetLife 100 out of 100 times then give JR money for renovations.
