SoClutch Pre Free Agency mock draft

Doing this one now and probably one after free agency. Gettleman is making good moves so it looks like we will have money to play in free agency.

Free agents: Louis Vasquez(G) or Brandon Moore(G)

Issac Sopoaga(NT) or another FA NT Ron edwards type deal

1. Kenny Vaccaro- we drafted our #1 linebacker last year and the captain of our defense in Luke. I want to do the same and draft the #1 saftey and the future captain of our secondary for years to come.

Alternatives: Star, Floyd, Johnson, Rhodes

2. Deandre Hopkins- im on the get the steve smith replacement now while upgrading the slot position now bandwagon. Hopkins is a playmaker who isnt scared to go get the ball, perfect for Cam. would be a great pickup in the 2nd. i think patterson, allen, austin , hunter(someone takes a chance) will be gone giving us a chance at him here.

Alternatives: Darius Slay, Terrance Williams, jesse Williams, john jenkins

4. Leon McFadden- plays bigger than he is. solid corner. pro comparisons to brent grimes. gamble maybe a cab casulaty so position a possible replacement.

Alternatives: Darick Rodgers, Oday Aboushi

5. Kwame Geathers- space eating NT get him now and let him have time to be coach and developed behind the NT we pick up in free agency

Vacarro is not worthy of that pick and is vastly overrated. We coul definitely find someone more reliable than him in free agency or in a later round.

I like Hopkins but Clemson receivers scare me. Once again I think there could be a safer option there.

oh yeah i wouldnt be mad at geathers at all...think i had him in my first mock.....would not mind hopkins in the 2nd. i like sturgis better. i actually had leon on my late round gems...dude has potential. just not sure about kenny V.......

Vacarro is going to be a solid saftey, don't think there's an affordable healthy option in free agency. It's better than taking a small school corner at 14. Scouts have had him number 1 this whole time and the combine didn't change that. Don't know what's up with the Clemson hate but hopkins is a playmaker.
