CJ on the cuts of vets...

Recommended Posts

CJ's earned every dollar of his contract. Just imagine how dominate this defensive line would be with Hardy-Lotulelei-D.Edwards-Johnson. We saw it last year with Tolbert and I hope to see some of it this offseason, but vets willing to take pay cuts to either come home or play with Cam is what this team needs. Building through the draft is great, but eventually you have to bring in resources from the outside.

If everyone played like CJ we might be able to get that dynasty. I have no ill feelings for what CJ says, he knows not everyone around him work as hard as he does, as he stated last season. We didn't over pay for him, we paid a little more to keep him here in Carolina. Cam had yet to play a down, he had zero reason to stay here. It's a big contract but we had absolutley nothing going for us at the end of a Clausen season. Regardless, CJ has played great and can say what he wants IMO. His actions may show he cares for football or money but if they help my team I am on board. Every player is in it for the money, see lockout, see lower salaries and see who plays.

Some fans think all our good players are supposed to play for peanuts with a team that has had no success in the last 5 years and try to dissect it down to such things as "well, he earned is money in week 4 but he didnt earn it in week 5" and other types of ways. Not surprised at the responses.

Who said that he should be paid peanuts? I just said he's making WAY too much. He's over paid. It's that simple.

Surprised nobody is getting all overly worked up about him LOLing the Panthers and building a dynasty. Somebody needs to dissect that comment! Is he LOLing the Panthers and our chances of building a dynasty??!!?

It didn't look like he was "loling" at the Panthers or building a dynasty. He sincerely saying come join the Panthers, and then loling in a jovial manner. Then sincerely, we're building a dynasty. I didn't read any sarcasm in his comments. If he was being sarcastic that'd probably sit very poorly with his teammates. Doubt he'd do something like that.

Why is that?

Because apparently he has homes in Charlotte, GA, and Miami and multiple homes and cars was one of the common themes amongst the bankrupt players interviewed in ESPNs 30 for 30, "Broke".

    • Lower floors than AR coming out, or lower floors than AR now?  Are you counting that he has proven to be a productive goal line back?  AR as a prospect had just about the lowest floor you can possibly have.  Probably the same as Milroe.  Dart's floor looks a lot closer to backup QB to me, but the issue is that his ceiling doesn't look too far from that either. It's crazy that teams are drafting scratch off lottery tickets at QB with 1st round picks.
