Dwan Edwards wants to come back

Says he had fun here last year (link)

“It was fun. It was kind of a situation for me coming in and not knowing the team. I wasn't really sure how it was going to be and what my expectations were. I hadn't heard great things about the defensive line,” Edwards said when reached by phone.

“But throughout the season I could see us getting better and improving. And I really felt we won some games for us.”

Edwards, who turns 32 in May, signed a one-year deal worth $1.5 million with Carolina last year after the Bills released him before the start of the regular season. Despite missing two games late in the season with a wrist injury, Edwards finished with six sacks, the most by a Panthers defensive tackle since Kris Jenkins had seven in 2002.

Only Ndamukong Suh, with eight, had more sacks among NFC defensive tackles.

That last line, as Johnny Carson would say, "I did not know that."

He'll be back. I think the league knows something we don't because NFL.com published their list of the 85 top FA's and Dwan Edwards was nowhere to be found. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000145968/article/top-85-free-agents-mike-wallace-heads-best-available

Considering the guy was second in sacks among NFC DT's, it's either retardedly negligent to leave him off that list or they're damn sure he's resigning with Carolina.

Flacco and Clady - two guys that they know aren't leaving their teams - are on the list, along with many others that meet the "damn sure he's resigning" criteria. So they didn't leave Dwan off the list for that reason. There are a ton of free agents. It's understandable that Dwan Edwards didn't make some list of the top 85 free agents.
