My bad....Re-do:

So say we are -9 million:

Release Gamble: Savings of $7.9 million - Adjusted Cap: -1.9 million

Release Ron Edwards: Savings of $2.1 million - Adjusted Cap: +0.2 Million

Restructure Gross, Beason, Deangelo: Savings of 6 million combined - Adjusted Cap: +6.2 million.

Misc. Resigning and restructuring....we should be close to plus 8 million.

if 4-5mil is going to be needed for rookies were only going to have 4.5-5mil for free agency which isnt alot but better than nothing

Assuming those numbers, yes. However I think we will save a ton more than 6 million from Gross, Beason and Williams.

Gross is due 11.7 mil this year and 8.7 of it isn't guaranteed. Gettlemen could ask him to take a pay cut or he perhaps he could restructure.by converting some of that base money to a signing bonus like we did with Kalil? He has a few years left imo.

Could CJ do the same? Tons of cap room to move around there.

Beason needs to take a pay cut. 2 years straight on IR and now he's moving to Outside Linebacker.

He's a 9.5 mil cap hit this year and that's just inexcusable.

Deangelo Williams is probably willing to take a pay cut. He realizes he will never get that contract anywhere else and he loves his city and his teammates. He is due 8.2 mil this year and I'd like to see Gettlemen shave off a few mil this year and a few mil next year and cut him after 2014. (when Stewart's contract inflates massively)

If he does his work these guys alone could potentially save us 12 million.

"This move brings the Panthers down to approximately $124.6M against the cap, meaning they still have a little bit of work left to get down to the league mandated $123M cap by March 12th. We should expect GM Dave Gettleman to make a few more moves like this in the near future, as they are the best way to trim small parts of the cap off because they allow the Panthers to maintain their roster for next season."

We are only 2 million over right now.

This is making me want to punch a puppy.

Person claims we are 6.6 mil over

Adam Shefter of ESPN says we are 5.6 mil over

PFT says we are 1.6 mil over.

Person claims this includes roll over money. Still says we are over 6.6 mil

I think he's still off by a mil and the number is 5.6 mil
