Guys here's the thing. Gamble is probably a top 13ish corner coming off a season ending injury. He's getting up there in years but will likely still be effective. He's overpaid but would maybe be amenable to a home team discount. He's been in charlotte for 8 years for god's sake.

The Panthers will likely not find anyone better to replace him.

They need to restructure him and keep him here.

Mcdermontt likes aggressive corners, look at the seahawks, 49ers, Ravens corners -- all are aggressive. Gamble isn't.

If we cut him we would have the 3 million in dead cap space. I don't think we could resign him this year since he is not a free agent and we cut him. We could renegotiate or restructure though instead of cutting him. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I think that is what they are trying as option number 1.My understanding is the panthers are encouraging these hi cap guys to test the waters to see what they are worth elsewhere.

If gamble's agent comes back and determines he is worth 4 million per year and we offer 4,5 he would be better off restructuring.I do not see the benefit in cutting him if we can restructure his contract. He is as good if not better than anyone in FA.

Dude youve been more n more bold with your bullchit lately and it really should stop now.

Gamble is a very very aggressive corner and to say otherwise tells me you dont watch football. He tackles well in the open field and is a VERY hands on guy when he's on the reciever's hip. . .just WTF r you talking about.

Get a hold of yourself, man, and that goes for the rest of you madden playing children. Cutting Gamble does nothing for you. No were not going to pick up Wallace out of FA ok? not gonna happen. Just put it to bed already.

Same chit every year with Gamble. . overrated. . . overpaid. . . now he's not aggressive too?!?!?! rofl just wow.

Best CB we've ever had, not that there's a whole lot of competition for that title.

This is just the way the NFL is. When you're on the wrong side of 30, have a big cap number, and have had injury issues as of late you're almost certainly looking at the ax.

He's not 30 yet is he? and uhmm. . how old is this guy?

rofl wrong side of 30? what does that mean man? hes under 30 so he's on the wrong side orrrrr?

We should keep Gamble. DeAngelo too. Beason is a must stay as well. Basically Gettlemen should keep Hurndogs train chugging along. Forget about building a new roster with players who fit a new coaching staff....Fox era playa 4 life!!!

People complain about X but then want very little change. Why is Hurney gone if Gettlemen is just going to do what Hurney what do?
