If you were Alex Smith...

I wasn't actually thinking systems, just cities where HE might want to go.

Playing for Andy Reid would not be bad. He would be great in AZ, but doubt they trade him within the division. Buffalo might be like Chicago and not sure his arm is strong enough. I think he could play in Cleveland

Which gives them like 14 or 15 picks in this draft. So, who might be leaving after next season?

If an OT? Then use some of the bevy of picks to move up and get OT Fisher for instance or Lane Johnson.

If a CB, then move up to take Milliner, etc. Then, after next season, you have a guaranteed starter. No use in using all those picks on guys who will never make the team.

LT isn't a concern for them with Staley, so I don't think they'd need to move up in the Fisher/Johnson range. Fluker would be the most likely target if they want to replace Davis at RT.

And as for CB with them being so close last year, they could go win now. They just might have the chips available to give Idzik a call in New York about Revis.

Looked up the 49ers and for FA this year and next, they need CB's, WR'rs, LB's, maybe a G and C.

Would they be smart to move up for Milliner or the top WR? Or sit back and hope Cooper drops to them?

Oh and wouldn't it be nice to have a team with over a dozen picks and not in cap hell to pull for?

    • His o loaded with swift, dj, Keenan and Rome was inconsistent at best. The d was bad. And the game management was atrocious and lost them games.  He was terrible and made the team worse. I wish they kept him
    • That is my point.  I think teams make a huge mistake when they pay their decent to average QBs top QB money because they feel that they have to match the market or lose their investment--There is no way, for example, that Tua or Prescott or Murray should all be making more than Mahomes--I mean, Dak makes $15m per season more than Mahomes. People say, "Well, when its his turn...." But that is not how it should be--so my point was that Bryce can be doing mediocre to good enough in 2 years, but the way it is going, you have to pay him at the starting QB rate--currently $60m.  So even if you think he will continue to improve, at $60 m, he would eliminate any chance for a ring---so my view is, if he is not elite, you cut him.  So you draft QBs now and see what you can make of them.
    • With two 4ths and three 5ths I’m hoping we can kill it on adding depth. Take a gamble with the two 7ths.  First 3 picks id love to address the defense. I expect Tuttle, Robinson, and Jewell to all be on the 2025 roster but not after that. Be a good time to add depth and let them develop a year.
