How about cutting Beason instead of Willliams.

SB winners have depth. Its very unusual to go through a season with no injury issues right? Say you replace Williams with someone else and Stew goes down game 3. Now all of sudden our run game could potentially blow. How bad would that be for the offense? mmm very bad I'd say. New back, new teammate, new to playing with Cam. Man those are a lot of risks to compare with just keeping Williams and playing ball.

Then you have Tolbert, seriously, stop trying to come up with illogical situations that justifies paying two RB's 40 million plus guaranteed.

Just my opinion....making up no more as I go than you. Or this the part you claim Joe freaking Person taking a PC answering and spinning thg as some great insider scoop is now fact?

You are saying if he doesnt take a pay cut he is gone. Gettleman says they can handle his cap as it is and suggested they might keep him. I speculate that they could easily restructure him and that if I could figure that out then the experts should have no problem. Will they do a restructure? I hope so but who knows until they do it.

Yes, I am saying if he doesn't take a paycut he is gone.

He won't be here as is....and he won't get just a money shuffle....too old and too far down the list on preferred options.

Gettlemen didn't actually say what you just claimed. Said he didn't see why he could be here....never claimed as is though.

Since overpaying two backs, has led us to how many wins? The money that was used to pay Deangelo or Stewart could have gone to a target for Cam.

But but but....if one goes down we will have another. You and all other 31 NFL teams are glib. You are naive. You are crazy.

40 Million sounds like a lot but that is roughly 8 million ahead for 2 starting backs. Given

the total cap over that time period is 600 million so 40 is less than 7% for a productive backfield. Not cheap for sure but certainly manageable.

Manageable doesn't equal smart or necessary....

Nor doesn't it mean it isn't costly to the team

speculation with no basis. Gentleman said they could handle the cap as it is and when asked if they could keep him he said why not. That suggests they might keep him which is exactly what I said. Don't put me in with you. I am not the one trying to foist my agenda on everyone as you do. Jam just saying what the experts are saying.

Sure there is a basis....which is why everyone outside Carolina says he should be parted with.

Or let me guess, they all just hate Williams.

And Gettlemen never shared under what conditions he could still be here.

Who said any of this was ideal. We are in cap hell and trying to dig out. But it is necessary given the structure of these contracts. We know it why don't you? Stop living in the past and join the rest of us in 2013.

He said we could handle the cap right now and said when asked if he was going to be here said why not? We speculate he will be restructured and I hope he is but everything suggests he will be here. Nothing suggests if he doesn't take a pay cut he is gone. You are the only one saying that.
