I'm skittish about USC WR's too. But Keenan has probably worked with Proehl since high school which could make him a different type of USC WR, a good WR despite attending USC.

When he says "killin him" I think this is towards the fact that the combine doesn't have much in the route running area. Combine is more about the hands and speed.

At first I read it as Ricky killin him on not being able to run routes correctly, rather than its killin him that he can't show off his route running skills.

I'm pretty he sure meant it as its irritating keenan that he can't run routes as effectively because of his knee injury, hence why he hasn't looked impressive in workouts... And i think combine has enough in the route running area to give teams at least a good glimpse in their route skills

I will also say that Allen looks better than any of our WR's on film. He is fluid, shows great hands. He isn't the fastest guy out there, but he is big, strong, and looks fluid. Runs crisp routes.

Watch tape on any WR other than Smitty, and you will see how much better Allen already is than any of our guys.

gotcha. I just read it weird so I figured id get clarification. Wasn't aware of the knee injury. Regardless, I am liking this guy a lot, mainly because I am tired of all our journeyman, project WR's. :X
