Honestly, for inexperienced people (actually, anybody), foreplay is always important. Some people like to rush to the actual thing, which is OK for those nooners, but not when you have time to spare. Spend a while in foreplay. Figure out the body a bit. Know what works. Obviously, confidence is key. Go in doubting yourself and it'll be awkward and clumsy and just not much fun.
