Thats pretty much what I said but thanks for helping me make my point.
i actually was intending to quote your list in it but i'm not sure what happened. i was just building on yours and adding another few.

like i said, it was a good list.

In your thinly-veiled attempt to discredit carolinarolls, you unwittingly make the point that he doesn't understand the aforementioned point of Delhomme supporters, even though he has clearly voiced these similar points, and as early as his first post:

Carolinarolls has been about as objective as can be expected. I'm a Jake supporter, but it is a very interesting question.

it may be more resigned to the idea that jake is here for the next couple years and is accepting it. same with a couple other areas he was pretty hard-lined on. right now isn't the time for controversy and complaining about the team, imo. it's build time...not rebuild time. what we have right now is what we are likely going to be seeing with the inclusion of peppers (which is by now a given that he will be here for the season).

after the draft you had a pretty clear vision of what the panthers want to do and it's pretty much time to get on board and start supporting and hoping for the best. crolls has done this as far as i can tell and i'm applauding what he's doing. it's no secret that things aren't exactly the way he hoped things would be but i think he's ok with it now. if he can, anyone can (not implying that he was the worst or bad).

Pretty good list. I'd include Phoenix, (Warner is not going to last long and Lienert hasn't proven anything)

Seattle - a lot of injury problems there with an aging QB.

Baltimore - great defense, but where's the offense?

Tennessee - Kerry is 37 and everybody and his brother is now saying Vince Young can not be an NFL QB.

i had thought about the cards as well for pretty much the same reasons. he'd battle it out with leinart but i think that the team would probably have more confidence in jake.

seattle and baltimore i hadn't thought of but i can see it for the reasons you gave.

titans i had on my list.

THis year will go a long way to determine whether Jake has a few good years left in the tank or we need to find his repalcement right away. I would love to see him come all the way back to his form of 2005 when he went to the Pro-Bowl. If his elbow is all the way back, he could pick up where he left off when it was initially injured. With increased awareness and expereince he should be better than ever.

In any event we will know how much he is valued and who would want him after this year. Could be alot or could be no one. The question is consistency and whatever we see will begin to tell the tale. This should be the season where we see whether his elbow is all the way back or not. And that will determine the rest.

Out of all the teams listed 49ERS are the best option.

Campbell- not as good as Delhomme...but hes not far off

Rosenfells...Id keep him over Jake

Brady Quinn has not played enough to evaluate

Houston -they do need a back up though

Seattle- they will want to go younger and play hassleback until he can no longer produce. Hassleback is better then Jake

I'm not sure I understand why he wouldn't start and/or be a good fit in Denver. They have always been able to run the ball, he would have a superstar receiver in Brandon Marshall, a speed guy in Eddie Royal, a solid TE in Scheffler, and a solid slot guy in Brandon Stokley. To me, he's a much better fit there than Kyle Orton who is not known for his arm strength.

Smith, Hill or Vick. He would be the best QB in SF since Steve Young. He makes sense in San Francisco.

Schaub is a china doll and gets hurt every other tuesday. He makes sense in Houston.

Rosenfels and Jackson with Peterson in the backfield. He makes sense in Minnesota.

Kyle Orton is Kyle Orton. Mike Shannahan is gone and they are going to toss the rock. He makes sense in Denver.

Washington..... I could see them doing it just because they dont want to have Campbell there anymore.

Cleveland...... Between Anderson and Quinn, one of them is bound to be a descent pro QB.

Seattle is all about Hasselback but he has been banged up and he is a big question mark.

But come on, lets be honest. He makes more sense in Charlotte than anywhere else in the NFL.

None of those guys are better than Jake.

Rosenfels has not looked very good except in spot duty.

Campbell is a few years away from being complete.

Brady Quinn right now has done nothing so he gets no credit until he deserves it. Right now he isn't better or even close.

Schaub has been mostly a disappointment. Can't stay on the field (played 22 out of 32 possible games the past 2 years) and doesn't produce when he does. His passer rating is good but like David Carr, they can't win consistently and break through despite the division being pretty down last year.

Hasselback can't stay healthy enough to play anymore. Hasselback is more inconsistent than Jake and hasn't produced even in a WCO system. In 2007 he put up big numbers but they finished with 10 wins in a division of cupcakes. That gave them 6 wins without breaking a sweat. Isn't so easy this year.
