Jake Delhomme's next starting QB job...

Schaub is good but look what happen when he wen't down and they put in a back up. It was like Houston's version of David Carr with their QB issues when Schaub went down (except for the fact that Schaub wasn't injured for the entire season.)

We are not looking for a backup role here, we are looking for a place where he unseats todays starter and of course any backups currently on roster

ok..well IMO i dont think any team will take him as the unquestioned starter...maybe as a backup vet..one i think you only can look at teams with good RB..no other team will take him with out that..and i dont see it as a starter...maybe oakland

I don't think Oakland would because they grabbed Jeff Garcia to help develop JaMarcus Russell, but you never know.

I would say Minnesota because he could excel there just like excelled this year in Carolina (Until that playoff game) because Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor could open up the pass for him. The only thing Minnesota is missing is that Big Playmaker WR and a decent Quarterback. Jake is a decent Quarterback and was able to excel last year with the help of Double Trouble and of course that Big Playmaker WR Steve Smith.

I thought of Oakland too but you have Garcia, Gradkowski, Walter and Russell already out there. I don't see him getting that spot...even in a year. Plus think about the cajun livn in LA with those nasty fvckers in the stadium every Sunday...doubt it would work

He would grab the job in MINNESOTA

no all pro WR to bail him out of those crazy throws he makes sometimes...i dont think he would make it there or unseat anybody anywere else in the NFL..not saying he is a bad QB just saying i dont think he is good enough to take a job somewere else..if he got cut today

-too many receivers and no running game

-doubt would unseat Matt in a year and no running game

-Delhomme will never unseat Joe Flacco in Baltimore

-Vince still better option. I doubt Jake could take the job from him much less Collins within a year.

giving the year is a gift and its still tough. If it was come in and unseat right now I doubt there would be any.

I'll give you Flacco, but that's it...

We'll have to agree to disagree on the rest...

denver philosophically doesn't pass much, they only have been the past 2 years because they had cutler. delhomme would definitely start on denver.

washington... delhomme is leagues better than jason campbell.

cleveland doesn't have better QB's then jake delhomme.

houston wouldn't take him... schaub is a fine quarterback.

I'll give you Washington. I think we may have a spot there. Daniel just may go for it. Moss is a similar receiver to Smith and Randle El may even be able to spell him at wildcat or something. As long as Portis is healthy the running game is solid and there are some fairly solid backups that can pound it if need be. brennan is the only thing resembling a backup to williams. the defense looks OK enough to keep him off the field. Cooley will probably get pisst but hey, can't have everything. I think this is the best so far.

Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn are better than jake IMO for that offense. Very little running game and a largely unknown receving corps.

He would have Adrian Peterson, Chester Taylor to help spread out the defense. The Dome would help him instead of hurt him. He is better than all the Quarterbacks on Minnesota's roster. Minnesota does not really have a great WR but they have a lot of good one's in Bobby Wade, Sidney Rice, Darius Reynaud, Percy Harvin, and Bernard Berrian. Plus two good TE's in Jimmy Kleinsasser, and Visanthe Shiancoe.

we are getting good at that LOL

Again I am really looking for something clear and within a year. Collins is the man, Matt would have to break in half to lose the job to Jake, Kurt has at least two years left (thinking Leinart has a little something too not to mention he has already sat behind one vet for awhile)

If you take away the year grace period (a gift)...there is nobody that makes sense except for Washington so far.

Jake Delhomme would fit great at Minnesota because Minnesota's player corp is so similar to are's except for the fact that they do not have a big playmaker at WR, but here is what have.

    • It looked like a pretty bad hamstring injury too. I am not completely sure we see him the rest of the way
    • Even if they win it all and we have the #1 pick, it would still be about 10 picks because of the compensatory picks But it still was a terrible trade, just sayin, it’s probably going to end up about a dozen or so picks better, not that it means anything at that point in the draft anyways.
