I assume this is the first official confirmation:

Check out that Driveclub preview. WOW. Idk, I just feel like it's too early especially when all I've read has said that developers haven't even fully tapped out the PS3's abilities.

Cant make the same mistake and give M$ a year head start on install base. Good move by Sony to get it out the same year the Xbox will come....

EDIT: Just looked at what's under the hood for the PS4....Good God! Obviously it won't surpass PC because no console ever will but it has some gaudy tech in it for sure....

Suspend mode, updating while the system is powered down, and the ability to start a game as it's downloading are HUGE....

Also it was announced there would be a Final Fantasy for the PS4 revealed at E3. I'm really hoping it's not a new game, and that Versus has been turned into a next gen project....

They are doing it to get the jump on MS they launched way behind MS last time around and that really cost them, so they are trying to get the jump this time, the PS3 was on many levels and ways just a huge mistake by Sony, in reality the PS3 has about 3-4 more years of console life left in it where the Xbox is pretty much tapped out 2 years ago but because of MS and the Xbox they have to get the jump on the next gen and kill the ps3 before its time, the

Such a big mistake that M$ is now going to have to shell out royalties to Sony for putting Blu-Ray in their next gen console....

As someone that owned both a 360 and PS3, I much, much preferred the 360. The PS4 looks good, but it has me excited to see what MS will do within the coming months. That being said, I hope that all the new hardware doesn't perpetuate the focus on having the best graphics over the best game play that seemingly plauged the industry this generation.

that doesn't have anything to do with the ps3.

Being that the PS3 is one of the main reasons Blu Ray won the format war, and will in turn lead to Sony and other companies receiving royalties for Microsoft using Blu Ray in their NG console I would say it has something to do with the PS3. Also, since when was having a larger install base worldwide deemed a huge mistake. FACT: The PS3 has surpassed the 360 in console sales. The 360 had a year head start, but every full year both consoles have been out the PS3 has outsold the 360 worldwide. That is far from a huge mistake....

you are missing the forest for the trees, my point was that how Sony handled the PS3 was a mistake and even Sony would say as much now, the fact that they are already launching a PS4 is all the proof I need of this. They released the ps3 too late and for too much, they messed it up so bad they almost put themselves out of business.

    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
    • He is a diva, even with Baltimore winning, he will cry and pout and ask to be traded. He cares about his numbers and stats for his next contract. Ironically, his best chance to showcase his ability was with us, now he is just an afterthought.
