NC Blizzard 2013

Some of you need to move to the Northeast or Midwest so that you know what a blizzard or "getting bad" looks like.

My wife grew up in Erie Pa.....they measure snow in feet up there. Like nothing I have ever seen.

Lived in northern Illinois one winter.....drive 70 miles to work every day into southern Wisconsin. Coldest place I have spent time....about 23 straight days were it did not get above zero. Snowed like hell that year.

Nothing worse than snow blowing a long driveway at 5 am on the morning.....with 39 below windchill.

We have it GOOD in the Carolinas..

It's just neat once in a while... esp for the kids. As usual, we got nothing but rain and some snow that melted as it hit the ground here... Our deck does have a layer of ice this morning that the dogs skidded around on though...

News said some parts of SC got 5". That's pretty rare.

most of the people who freak out about the snow are transplanted northerners, which I can't figure out at all.

Coming back from the Dinosaur Expo (what a waste of money), and it randomly started snowing. I blame Canada. The roads were fine, wet but not slick. DIdn't keep some dumbasses from getting completely turned around and wrecking on I-77 though. Whoever those people were, it took skill to do that and I applaud you for your dumbassity.

Hopefully we will get a federal bailout of some sort. Many victims don't have snow insurance.

My gate was frozen solid for a good 10 hours. What if I had to get out? What if there was a BOGO sale at the shoe store?
