Absolutely. Why would I buy games for a console when I hate the controller? That would be dumb. The controller is the only way to interact with the games, so in that sense it is the most important part of the whole process of playing games.

You can get used to a controller if you actually care to. I fuging hated the Xbox controller when I first got my Xbox. Same thing with the N64, and Gamecube controllers. I mean I honestly don't care it's your preference, I just don't see why someone would skip out on great games because they don't feel like taking the couple of weeks it takes to get comfortable with a new controller....

I just wanna know why people prefer to have the dpad below the analog like on the xbox controller? Your hands are symmetrical why not make the controller symmetrical. I've always wondered that

The Xbox controller is clearly superior. This coming from someone who doesn't currently own an Xbox and only has a PS3.

Yeah I have owned all the systems and Xbox 360 is the best controller. Wii U is pretty damned good and wins in some ways like being able to watch football and game at the same time. The PS3 controller that came stock with my Playstation 3 felt light and cheap. The trigger buttons are awkward and the usb charging cable quickly loosens from the socket. While I don't like the placement of the analogs, i do like their design. My xbox sticks would wear out and hurt my fingers.

The PS3 has many other great features like free online play, netflix, built in wifi, built in rechargeable controllers, built in blue ray, and the Sunday Ticket. I had a miserable time with Xbox repairs and warranty. While I don't play games as often as I used to I've never had an issue with my current PS3.

I like both controllers personally, but the controller isn't why the PS3 is vastly superior. It's simply a better product.

The experiences of freezing/bugs/red ring of death and other perks of ownership keep me far away from 360.

Xbox 360 controller is the best designed controller ever. The military, on more than one occasion, has either completely copied it or used a modified version of the controller to operate drones, remotely disarm bombs and fly UAVs.

seeing as how the xbox controller was developed further down the line of the evolution of video games while the PS has been using the same controller setup since basically 1995, yeah, the Xbox's controller is probably better. Would help the Xbox's case greatly if that franchise didn't embark on one of the worst, most widespread hardware failure sagas in the history of video game consoles though

Yeah it's actually amazing that the Xbox 360 survived through all that mess. Must have been the superior controllers :).

the thing i dont like is that the ps4 wont have that much better graphics than the ps3. then you got to deal with PC gamers bragging how they got the best graphics and poo...lol

Play station controllers are awful. I don't see how anybody plays with those things. All they had to do was switch the D-Pad and analog stick an move the buttons to a more suitable comfortable location but they kept their same 90's weirdo gamey crap.

I could never buy one because of those things.

I just had to get a new 360 because my old one broke. It was one of the oldest models and was seemingly ancient by the market standard though, so I try to cut it a little slack.

New one is seemingly much improved. Much quieter and runs smoother and cooler, but Microsoft certainly seem to be behind Sony in some of the programs available on their systems (looking at you Sunday Ticket)

It's just not that good. The Xbox controller is far superior IMO. From the trigger buttons to the positioning of the the analog sticks and d-pad.

I think it depends on what you play. As a guy that plays fighting games more than any other I can say the XBOX D-Pad is TERRRRRRRRIBLE for them. I never liked that the controller is somewhat heavy in comparison also.
