I would just do it on a part of my body that in the future would be covered with a polo shirt and pants.

If you're in cargo shorts and a tank top it can be seen, but 10 years from now who knows what type of environment you might be working in.

fair advice, i've always kept this in consideration. however, i don't think i'd ever want to work the type of job or in the type of environment where i couldn't have a tattoo to begin with, and i can't ever see myself being happy in such an environment. and either way it'll end a few inches above my wrist, so long sleeves will cover it as a last resort.

Agree with the advice of getting it somewhere easily covered. You can only see part of one of mine in a short sleeve shirt.

You have no idea where you'll be in the future, it would suck having to make exceptions for some ink.
