The more I see people pump up BS prospects and don't use common sense. The more I understand they don't know poo about football so why should I care. So by all means keep falling in love with lesser prospects. When it doesn't work out I'll be here bumping threads so people can read their stupid comments.

"lol maybe if I throw out all these random things that I've heard people say about receivers before people will finally start taking my opinion seriously"

FWIW I emailed Silva about that very subject and he said that was his biggest "nitpick".

It's pretty significant, catching with hands is important in the NFL

Yea Patterson is GARBAGE, but LaFAIL is KING. You're praising the wrong guy. Id take you more seriously if you werent riding on LaFail's nuts that hard.

but I completely agree that if both Keenan and Patterson are there at 14, I would much rather go with Keenan. But you cant argue that Patterson isnt the no.1/no.2 wr in this class.

Way to exaggerate Chuck like you always do. Never said the kid was garbage or Lafell is god of Wr.

Patterson is just not worthy of a top 15 pick. He is not polished like WR who are normally picked that high. He doesn't run or know all the routes in the route tree like Wr who are picked that high. He doesn't have the production of a WR who is normally picked that high. All that amounts to is reaching.

IMHO. The other WR from UT Hunter is the better "WR". Coming off a ACL he had 73 rec. 1083 yards 9 td. That's impressive.

Hunter and Twill are two other guys that I think are worthy of 1st picks along with Keenan and Patterson. Patterson just have too much room to grow. He boomed in his first year in the NCAA DI level in a SEC conference. I have high hopes that he can impact the same in the next level. He also has great tremendous size and speed. I wouldnt say that the kid is "raw". I'll just say that Patterson isnt "polished". The potential is there for Patterson.

I hate to bring up Stephen Hill's name up again, but he and Thomas were two prospects that came out and were tagged being "raw". Hill isnt proven, but he has shown that he has potential to become a very good wideout if giving consistency at QB. Hill played very well in the beginning of the season alongside Santonio Holmes. Thomas was a very raw player coming out also. All he did at GT was run the 9 route in a read option system. Played well with The Golden Calf of Bristol and now is one of the Top15 wide receiver in the NFL catching passes from Manning.

Patterson will fit really well in our offense. We have an incredibly talented QB in Cam and Patterson will only improve learning and playing along with 89. That's exactly what Patterson needs.

Hill sucked and it will be 2 more years before you see his impact. He lined up wrong and didn't know the routes like I said last year.

I don't want to wait for Patterson to learn to be a Wr. I rather get a DT who can be a Dt from day 1.

Hill doesn't suck. You're only saying that bc you don't want to lose ur argument from last year. But eventually you will like it or not.

I most importantly prefer a DT/Warmack or Vaccaro at 14, but taking Patterson is on more on the BPA side of thing.

You' re right I forgot. 23 rec. 324 yards and 3 td in 12-13 games is a good season for a WR.

What was I thinking?

Patterson has a great combination of size and speed with a lot of playmaking ability, which is why he's so highly regarded, but he's still a bit raw as a WR. All the pieces are there for him to be a top notch WR though. He's one of my wildcards at 14. He reminds me a bit of Torrey Smith.

Wait, was that him playing with poor QB plays and having to play almost as the feature no.1 receiver when Holmes went IR? Let's talk about Lafail who his whole entire career have been nothing but playing along 89 as a no.2/3 wide receiver. What have he done so far that intrigues you so damn much? Playing well only vs the Bucs?

Nah duh !!!

Look at Larry's number, pathetic. Look at 89's number in 2010, pathetic bc of poor QB plays.

Michael Floyd? Laughable to say that his stat is very comparable to Hill. Blackmon played well but 236 of those yards came in one single game from Chad Henne who is above average.

Name me one wide receiver who play like a top10 receiver with poor QB play.

Come back next time with a better argument buddy.
