I simply do not care what you say being this is a forum. But....... If you really want to put me down go ahead. But I love me, so it does not bother me. How can you sit here and like Rivera? And continue to defend him. He will never be able to get it done. He's like Lebron int he 4th hes too soft. No killer mentality.

Have you seen Lebron lately? You did see him in last year's finals right? I guess you missed that big shiny new ring. Evoking Lebron James doesn't really do much to strengthen your argument. To the contrary, actually.

Most of us I do believe are expecting us to be in the same position. Another lame duck year with a lame duck coach. Talent might win us games, who knows? I'm definitely not gonna boast about my team this time around like I did last year only to get embarrassed.

I am looking at it as Rivera's last stand. If he sucks, then we'll get rid of him. IMO he needs that third year, but if he fugs it up, we'll still be in a better position with Gett at the helm.

Even if you discount this line of reasoning, it's not like you are the first, or the last, to say "I told you so." It's not like you are original.

We all know Cam is one hell of a quarterback. Let's fave it Rivera ain't poo. We don't have to be NFL insiders to figure that one out. Cam gets bashed constantly. Hmmmm, Cam not making plays? Who is not putting him in the correct position to get the stardom who should have? Russel Wilson is a good example, when you put talent around someone they soar. So please draft a WR. Get some lineman and another tight end. Defense don't win anything in this league any longer.

If you don't think the Ravens D won the superbowl then you have no business commenting on a football related forum. They held NE to 13 points. The colts to 9. Against the broncos the ravens special team gave up 14 points. Thus they held the broncos offense to 21 points. In these days of high powered offenses teams can't win scoring only 21 points. If your D relinquish only 21 points in the NFL you will be a perennial playoffs team and the ravens are.

You can't win in this league if your defense can't make a stop when it matters. All those so-called high powered offensive team with no defenses like NE got exposed in the playoffs. In the regular season players play with injury in mind but in the playoffs they go all out. That's where little gimmicky hurry up offenses gets exposed. NE have been a high powered offense the last 9 years but hasn't won a superbowl without a defense. And also, the notion that you don't need a running game doesn't fly in the playoffs either. GB also got exposed with their gimmicky throw every down offense with limited use of a RB and no defense. Those types of offenses make the QB look good in the regular season then they complain the read option won't be around because they just got manhadled(ala rodgers).

The recipe to winning the superbowl will always be the same.

1. good QB play. doesn't have to be great. Average will do.

2. strong running game

3. good defense that holds teams to under 20 points.

If you look at the history of the superbowl the team that is held under 21 points normally lose.
