lol mini camps didn't matter, now OTAs don't matter, I'm sure training camp won't matter either. I still don't believe Brown is ready to start this season, but that wasn't necessarily the point of my post.

Not that they "don't matter" more like the positions of the depth charts in those situations do no matter.

I have no desire to be a coach or scout or in any type of position in the front office of any NFL team, but I am 100% certain I would be picked over you if I were so inclined to seek such a position.

I couldn't agree more, I don't know why in the world you bothered to tell me what I already know and believe to be true. That is pretty much exactly what I said. My entire point is that what we gave up doesn't force us into a position where we have to start him if it's not in his best interest or in the team's best interest. Which is the opposite of what dickface implied in my original response.

He's going to have a roll. His roll is going to help give us more of a pass rush. I wouldn't want him starting unless he was also good at run defending. The coaches are definitely going to be using him in a rotation.

I do not believe that Brown is going to be the flakey, buttery croissant of this team, so I assume you mean role. Again, you and I are on the same page.

He will need time to adjust, get stronger, and get better before he becomes a starter here.

Another reason why this comment is stupid, is it's still OTA's. The depth chart isn't even being thought about right now. It's not even going to be addressed until training camp. And even then, he may not start.

Otah and Godfrey were starters from the beginning of minicamp last year and that didn't change throughout the offseason. Brown has been working with the second string, even with no Peppers, from that same period to the present day. If you are incapable of comprehending that where Brown is on the depth chart right now is a representation of where Fox and the other coaches feel he is CURRENTLY as a player, then you are an utterly hopeless case.

Glad you brought up this example. As both Otah and Godfrey were drafted to be starters right from the get go.

While there is no doubt that Brown will eventually be a starter, he was drafted to give us more of a pass rush. No where has the team stated that he was drafted to be a starter.

The point is that the argument that Brown should absolutely, no two-ways about it be a starter this season because of what we gave up to get him is a house of retardation built upon a foundation of dumbassery.

just because we gave (insert whatever you want) for him in the draft does not mean he will start and anyone who thinks it does mean he HAS to start is not very bright and quite possibly downright stupid.
