Weird story from National Signing Day

Arkansas recruit remains unsigned

Alex Collins - a runningback from South Plantation High School in Plantation, FL - was set to sign a letter of intent to play at Arkansas. He wasn't able to do so however, because when the time came, the letter was missing.

So why was it missing?

Because unknown to Collins, his mother showed up at the school, grabbed the letter and ran off with it

It seems Mom doesn't want Alex to leave home, and is willing to think a little "outside the box" to keep him there

Another amusing little note from today (link)

Four-star defensive lineman Dee Liner confirmed growing speculation over the past couple of weeks, announcing Wednesday afternoon that he will be signing with Alabama.

Yes, his name is "Dee Liner", and he plays defensive line

The Alex Collins situation is only weird because it's being played out in public.

His coach has pushed him to Arkansas - because he has a relationship with their new HC. Collins is also living with said coach.

To be fair Collins seems a little too.....Ricky Williams like. He's a kook. I mean why else would you choose Arkansas over Miami?
