So let me get this straight. Some of you would rather have Canty. Who's coming off a leg injury, knee to be exact. Over Dwan Edwards who solidified our Line and helped it become better? The guy who was just released to make room for the Giants Cap. I'm going to let that one simmer in your brains for a minute. Yes, that's right. LET GO to make room for the cap.

If Canty can be had cheap, its a no brainer. Try to keep Dwan. Use both as rotational guys at UT. Kick some of our scrub DTs to the curb. Improved depth can't hurt.

Dwan would probably be cheaper than Canty. And much more reliable given that he isn't coming off a knee injury.

Not so sure about the cheaper part. We paid Dwan over 4 million last year and he had a career year. I'll bet both he and Canty stay unsigned for awhile as they both probably will expect more than they are going to get.

This year will perhaps see a lot of summer signings. Many teams are tight against the cap so it's likely to be a buyer's market.
