Derek Leazer's Mock Draft (CSR Writer)

Lol. Good mock until having Rambo in the 5th.

I think we can do better than that. If that trade goes through, here's my mock for it:

(1) Jesse Williams NT

(2) Jordan Poyer CB

(2) Da'Rick Rogers WR

(4) Brennan Williams OT

(5) Omoregie Uzzi OG

(5) JJ Wilcox S

(6) Dustin Hopkins K

I like this one also. Would rather have Earl in the 5th but would not pass this up. Da'Smoker troubles me a bit but his potential is worth the pick.

Thanks. I like Earl but Wilcox had a brilliant week at the Senior Bowl. He could very well go earlier than the 5th.

Rogers is a beast. At the end of the day, I really believe he will be one of the best receiver out this draft. I'm really afraid that his stock will rise a ton after the Combine. Could really push him into the late 1st and early 2nd.

It is a very nice mock but not a likely trade partner. I don't see why Seattle would trade up plus, we have very similar needs to them. Their top are DT, WR/TE, DE, & maybe OLB

Carrell made very clear in pcs that he wants to further improve the pass rush so I don't see who they would trade up for someone we wouldn't already want. You'd have to look at DE with Moore or Hunt but that'd be it imo.

Maybe Jarvis Jones, Patterson, Hankins, Dion Jordan if they fall that far?

Seattle does make sense as a trading partner. Carrol is Agressive and will move up or take a player he like; reach or not he he isn't afraid.

Making that far into the playoffs and having a young franchise QB, they may feel like how Atl did in 2011. That they're one piece away from winning the big one.

Their needs arn't as bad as people think. Biggest needs for the Hawks is WR and a DT. Golden Tate has improved to go along with Rice and Baldwin. And they have big Red Bryant with Irvin creating pressure.

They have 10 draft picks so if they're trading up, I see it at the least being toward the top of the draft and for a guy they know would be effective. I don't think the guys you mentioned are worth giving up what they would have to for.

Maybe if Star falls a little further than expected around 7-10 they could make a move.

I don't think Star is someone on Carrol's mind. Carroll has his own way and philosophy of drafting players. He likes those dynamic players that are skilled in an athletic ways; not saying Star isn't.

Just look how he built his defense. All 6ft up Cbs/S other than Thomas.

Irvin and Carpenter for example. They both were guys we all considered 2nd rd prospects. If Carroll can add a Jarvis or Dion to go along with Irvin, he will.

I don't understand the Rambo hate. Who did he murder, that he should fall all the way into the 5th round? Just last year, he was a solid 1st round pick. So what, he was suspended for eating a maijuana brownie, I can forgive him for that. What's the deal?

Taking your quote out of context to make a point. I think OLB might be the "sleeper need" we are looking for. I think Carolina Chuck mentioned it once or twice before but even though it might not be the most glaring need, if the value is there it could be the pick.

I'm not saying we should take one but saying if Jarvis is there, how in the hell can we pass up on him?

Not a lot of people agree with me though.

It's not so much we dislike him for that reason... it's that GM's/Teams don't like it because if he continues his ways he'll have suspensions that's one way he could fall in the draft
