Flacco's agent: He should be the highest paid QB

Fug all these high price rich greedy fags. I really think thet should set a limit cap on how much any player should be able to get. This is why so many teams struggle to stay under the cap each year. Because this player think he deserves more money then the next one. Flacco is not great. After the 34 min delay in the SB. Flacco came out flat and played that way for most of the second half. Only to have a game winning drive at the end. But Flacco ain't elite and probably will never be. He is good. But not Tom Brady or Peyton Manning elite. It will never happen. I'm sure Ravens will franchise tag him if he gets greedy. Flacco won the SB. Glad for him and he deserves a nice contract new contract to go along with it. But Brady or Manning type money and be the highest paid QB in the history of football. Flacco is full of crap. He ain't that good.

From the sounds of things, I'm in the minority here. I think Flacco is definitely undervalued. (Not by his agent obviously, lol.) Surely football is a team sport, but the QB is the focal point on offense (in an increasingly offensive oriented league), touching the ball on every snap. Sometimes people get caught up more in ancillary stats than the primary ones, like wins.

Sure football is a team sport, and Flacco has benefited from some very good defense in his time with the Ravens, but in my eyes, he plays his best in the biggest moments. As a starting QB in the NFL, Flacco is 9-4 in the playoffs. There are exactly 8 QBs in the history of the NFL with more playoff wins, and Flacco is just 28 years old. He has an elite level of poise and confidence when the pressure mounts, and that is most certainly worth a great deal when you can make all the throws/ reads.

I think Flacco's perceived worth is undermined in large part by his personality, or lack thereof. If Flacco were on the open market (and we didn't already have our wagon tied to Cam), I would love to see him in Panther colors.

Sure he does. He won a lot of games and especially in the post season for the Ravens. That defense isn't once he used to be. Remember last year when Ed Reed was questioning Flacco. Well, Flacco should've question the defense this year.

He earned to be the highest paid QB. Baltimore should've have him a new contract last year if they were smart. Ravens won the SB all bc if Flacco.

It was a calculated risk. The Ravens could have extended him before the season for a lot less money. They wanted to see how he played this year (which I would have also). He won the Superbowl MVP and basically had a remarkable post season. He is going to get somewhere between 17-20 mill a year. Deserves to be the highest paid , I don't know. It's up to Baltimore to decide that, I won't begrudge him either way.

Flacco is and has always been full of crap. Yes, he played well in the Superbowl, but so did Jake Delhomme if we recall correctly. He's a good quarterback that has a huge upside, but he needs to show consistency before he gets Rodgers/Manning/Brady type money. When he said I think it was last year that he was the best qb in the league I knew then that he was full of poo.

Here's a question....you guys are all ready to hand Cam a monster contract yet your hesitant about Flacco getting one. What exactly has Cam done to prove he should get a top 5 contract? Has he been consistent enough? I don't think so.

Who said that Cam deserved a top 5 contract?
