Fellas we might need to take a look at Oladipo with our 2nd pick.

that wasn't a very impressive highlight video, I want to see a variety of shots, dribbles, dunks, defense in a highlight video. That video showed the same 4 plays over and over..... I havnt really watched much Indiana yet this season so I wont say anything about this kid yet

That's why I linked his stats and the video from Jay Bilas. Maybe check that out and make a comment.

There are too many good guards in this league to try to make one a franchise player. At the top of the draft, unless the player is John Wall exceptional, take a big. With Kemba, Sessions, Hendo, etc. we're fine at the position. No need to fix what's not broken. Why we have Mullens and Bismack in our starting rotation should be the obvious reason we're not winning games. Plus, don't rule out the chances we win the lottery. We're due for a break.

Don't want to say much because I haven't really seen him play: but opinion of stats

He looks like a athlete that can take advantage at a college level who slashes and scores at the rim. Players that score from outside don't shoot 64% from the field. Sounds like a lot of dunks and layups. Those are plays that wont come easy at the next level where every team is full of elite athletes. This also does not fit the needs of the Bobcats which is a post scorer (Big Man) and a pure scorer/shooter at the 2 guard.

His 1st 2 seasons he only took 26 and 48 three point attempts and shot a dismal 20% and 30% at that rate with a shorter 3pt line than the NBA plays at.

The assist/steals/rebounds numbers are good, but those are hustle plays. I value that more than the average scout but those attributes can be found in many players and definitely in the 2nd round.

That being said he is shooting 51% from 3 this yr and has taken 37 shots from behind the arc so far. While that is still a small sample size it appears he has improved and is willing to shoot outside more. Its still iffy for me since its not hard to find a (Gerald Green) type play that he appears to be solely off his statistical numbers.

At this point I would still like to add both 1st round picks towards big men positions. I am still waiting to evaluate most of the prospects at the Bigs and shabazz and mclemore. I have been hammered with high school football signing day but all that ends here this week so I can start looking at the players in more depth for NBA/NFL drafts.

He looks like a Wade type player. With his handles, Speed, hops or up's(jumping ability) and ability to attack the rim. He also shook the poo out of MKG in one of thos highlights. If he has improve his jumper and 3 point shooting to 51% like his stats say. That tell me he's a hard worker. Then you add in his defense and that is not a bad pick for our 2nd 1st round pick. If you match him with a Big from the 1st pick we have.

Smart move a 6'3 shooting guard.

He is a good defender that moves his feet well and averages around 6 boards a game. He can play some point also. He does in college occasionally. If he is there at Portland's pick CJ could be a steal.

If he was 6'6 with his skill set, he would be a top 10 pick. I am not saying we should draft him with our first pick. But if he is there with Portland's pick he would be a smart pick that could pay off.

Right now we play Sessions and Kemba or Ben Gordon together. None of those guys are over 6'3 And our perimeter defense hasn't been the problem (of course Gordon is not a good defender but that is because he can't contain penetration, not his size). It has been mostly the interior defense.

Dwayne Wade is only 6'4. Size really isn't that big of an issue on the perimeter, except against maybe a guy like Kobe Bryant.

But he's not. He is a mismatch against most teams with 6'6 sg. I put money on victor being the better player in the pro.

Unless they are posting him up, size isn't that big a deal on the perimeter. Moving your feet is what is most important. Most teams in the NBA don't post their guards very often anymore because it isn't very effective. Even back in the old days team's had a tough time posting up Mugsy Bogues and getting anything too productive out of it.

The size disadvantage would effect a perimeter player's offense more than his defense. But CJ McCollum is an exceptional offensive player. I don't think it will be a problem for him.

Just my opinion though. But at @14 I would take him over any other SG out there.

Like I said I put Money that Oladipo is the better pro. He's a better defender and improving his offensive game by leaps and bounds. Then you add in he's bigger, stronger, and a freak of a athlete. Plus his handles and speed are really good. CJ is just the big fish in a small pond.

Reminds me a lot of Harold Arceneaux
