We are in need of a DT. There are three or four that can probably start immediately. One, I don't think Jones will get anywhere near 14. Two, one of those big DTs are going to be available.

Here are two from CBS Sports.

Both have us taking DTs. I like Hankins. 6'3" 320. Along with D. Edwards our DL would be solid.

Still haven't seen it mentioned, but for some reason Jarvis Jones is there; someone will offer the Panthers a pretty good package for him. Once you get to the mid-teens, trades start to fall into place because of players falling.

Maybe the Falcons will offer us 29 draft picks to move up to 14 so they can take another receiver and make it to the Super Bowl for a 3rd straight year.

I can see Jarvis Jones being the pick if he's available. Panthers' linebackers are horrible at pressuring the QB. There's a reason McDermott is so hesitant to blitz them. Wouldn't be my #1 choice, but I could see the logic. Pressuring the QB is better than trying to find a CB that can cover the best athletes on the field for 4+ seconds. Everyone on defense looks better when the QB is hurried.

Jimmy Clausen didn't show many incredible intangibles. Jones will be the kind of guy someone wants to put on the outside and become the cornerstone of a 3-4 defense. I hate UGA, but Jones is a legit pass rusher. Not great in run support, though. Pass rushers and tall physical corners are about the only thing that can stop the NFL's passing game in 2013.

Go Dawgs!

Anyway, Jones will probably not be available, but it would be fun to see the Huddle histrionics...

CJ, Hardy and Dwan each had great season last year. But we still haven't have that MONSTER that will force OCs to game plan for (PEPPERS). Just imagine Jones on this defense with three already very good rushers. Tough for offenses to handle.

Jarvis is Miller2.0 no doubt! I don't care if we're already packed at lbs, I'm not passing up on the next best pass rusher. And Beason isnt quite the same, Anderson is average, and TD is aging with three ACL tears.

The only game plan you need again Peppers is: Power run right at him!

This is what I think. When we talk about Jarvis, we shouldn't look at him as just another LB. Hes more than that. He's a pure pass rusher who can create havoc for opposing offenses week in and week out. We need a consistent rusher who can get in the face of the QB all day. He's basically a DE who stands up.

Mark Richt has produced two of the best pass rusher in the past few drafts with Geno Atkins and Justin Houston. With Jarvis playing under the same program and HC, I feel very comfortable thinking that he will be another great pash pusher out of UGA. Some programs just does a better job producing certain area of position. UGA has done well there.

Thank you. Someone who can ignore that we have depth at LB and knows Jarvis would be a steal at 14.

Not that I am advocating picking Jarvis, but if he is there at 14 I could see it happening.

Everyone saying that we don't need another LB are missing one point.....we don't have a player like Jarvis on this team. He is not a LB in the mold that we have. He is the kind of guy that can be used at OLB or DE in different packages. He is a guy that can put a lot of pressure on the QB.

I agree that we have bigger needs, but I would not be surprised or really disappointed if he was the pick.....assuming he is still there at 14.

Thank you

I love Hankins more than a lot of huddlers on here. I think Hankins is the 2nd best DT behind Star. A lot of people questions his weight and has Jesse above him.

But, if I have to choose betwen Jarvis and Hankins. Gotta be kiddin me. JARVIS is BPA anywhere in the draft to wherever he falls. He could easily be the no.1 pick.

I might be jumping in late here but did you really have us picking a linebacker with our first pick? because lolololol

That's what you said last year when some people were mocking Kuechly here right?

I really think we're worse off at the lb position now than last year.

People needs to quit viewing Jarvis as you typical LB. Hes not that. He's your hybrid pass rushing DE/LB.

no, i called for keuchly as the pick for months before the draft. linebacker was a liability then. now it is not. neither is defensive end, we have that down pat. he might be a great player but he fills two roles on the team that are already filled - two of our strongest spots i might add - and ignoring our gaping weaknesses would be abominably foolish.

If a pot of gold fell from the sky to your lap, you're going to pass that up right?

If you won the Jackpot, youre going to donate that whole big check to charities and other countries bc they need it more than you right?

Okay, I gotcha
