Jim Harbaugh Was Exposed

Well I could have written a whole page report on why he is a good coach to counter your essay about why it sucks that Harbaugh dumped you you think he is a bad coach, but its pretty silly when everyone knows he is a quality coach

No, you couldn't. All you can write are prissy putdowns because you wouldn't know what good or bad coaching looked like if you saw it. Everyone may think he's a great coach, and everyone may be wrong, because everyone may be too goddamn lazy and ignorant to know otherwise.

Argh!!! I swear if you guys won't stop focusing on Harbaugh's entire body of incredibly successful work and start focusing on those few plays I cherry picked out of last nights game then I'll keep making utterly stupid threads until you get it! I'm right you're wrong brah!!

Please, please, please mods. For the love of God, ban me I I ever start making threads that humiliate me in this manner. This has got to be one of the worst posts I've read on here in quite some. Entire concept of it is almost laughable, except it's not... It's just sad.

What body of work? For the last goddamn time, he's working with an obscene amount of talent. This game shouldn't have even been close. Goddamnit I wish people would just think beyond what the media tells them for once.

God, do you read your posts before you post them? You sound like such a butt hurt bitter hater and its sad. The dude deserves loads amount of credit for turning the franchise around. If lamichael James didn't fumble and they score it was a completely different game. They also had a young qb with 10 career starts starting on the biggest stage in his sport. There is going to be jitters. You can in no one put that one the coach. As for the last goal line series you are discrediting the ravens defense. They forced the niners to throw the ball cause the showed blitz and sent more guys so the run option was taken away. They forced the throws. So your where was Jim's genius point is moot due to the fact you aren't accounting all the facts

I'm sorry, but one of the attributes most associated with Harbaugh is that he gets his players to execute well. You can't use that as an item of praise and then ignore it when they fail to execute.

That's only on runs towards the middle of the line, if they run the read option play to the outside the quarterback can easily keep it if a back chips the DE. We did it with Greg Olsen against Atlanta where Cam ran for 72 yards. They limited themselves to Kaepernick never keeping it because they only called one type of read option play.

The concept is still the same. If you run a sweep option the DE is still going to stay with the QB and the QB is still going to give it to the RB. If the DE breaks on the RB to the outside, the QB keeps it and runs up the middle. But if the Raven's coaches has told their outside guys to stay with the QB, they are going to do it no matter which way you run the option. And as an offense that is fine because they are taking a first level guy out of the play.

If I remember correctly Cam's 72 yard TD was to the outside on the weak side and Olsen was the lead blocker to that side if Cam kept it and Olsen blocked the outside guy, not the unblocked guy that Cam was reading as his key.

The 49ers were not abysmal before Harbaugh, just working under the worst coach of modern times in Mike Singletary. Mere competence would have turned them around. They were 6-10, the same record we were last year when people were picking us as a chic playoff team this year.

And Harbaugh put that 10 start quarterback into the biggest game of his career. And as for the goal line stand, a blitz is the perfect time to run a QB keeper: if the blocks catch their man and seal the edge he's scot free for the endzone.

I think "exposed" is a tad strong. I did come away with the feeling that of the two, John is the better pro coach/ Though to be fair, John has more experience and Jim's accomplished an awful lot in a short time.

Realistically though, even the best coaches make mistakes, and even the best teams sometimes execute poorly.

Case in point: While early on the Ravens defense had pretty good gap discipline and contain, I noticed that a few times in the first half they overran rushing the left side of the line and gave Kaepernick a wide open space to run. He didn't take advantage of it every time but could have (inexperience).

By mid to late in the second half, the Ravens defensive guys were leaving that left side open almost every single time. And Kaepernick was finally starting to exploit it. The touchdown run came off exactly such a play. My guess? The older guys on the defense got tired, and when you get tired you get sloppy.

Bottom Line: There are a million things that need to go right to win a football game, especially a Super Bowl, and a million things that can go wrong at any time. Rarely is one aspect of the game (coaching, scheme, execution, etc) solely responsible for a loss.

You're right, I'm thinking of a different play, because Kroy Beirman crashed down on DeAngelo on that run. Either way, you can still give the QB designed runs, just run the RB at the DE as a lead blocker after faking the handoff. My point is that at no point did they put Kaepernick in space as a runner.

They were sending more guys then there were guys to block them. The qb sneak wouldn't have worked and a run wouldn't either. And so by the same logic Rivera is a super shitty coach cause we were 6-10 like the 49ers coached by the worst coach ever. Your poo doesn't add up. You are so blinded by your hate and so fixed into not being wrong you are making you self seem really dumb. Especially getting so butt hurt at anyone who doesn't want to agree with you.

Same game as the other 3. 49ers were in holes in EVERY playoff game. Did everyone forget? The difference was that the Baltimore Ravens are a better team than the Seahawks i mean Packers and Falcons.

That combined with the fact that theres only so many times you can dig yourself out of a hole and win. 49ers caught some breaks in those other games as well. They didn't last night.

Baltimore had a very solid scheme for stopping the 49er offense (I suspect a fair amount of DCs will be studying that scheme this offseason), and as long as their execution was clicking they did just that. As time wore on and the older guys started getting gassed, momentum shifted the other way.

I don't think that same profile fits all the other games, but it's a recipe for a second half comeback.

I'll be frank, I'm using "exposed" to antagonize a certain subset of Huddlers. You're one of the few posters on this board who's knowledgeable enough not to worship Harbaugh's every move, and while I've said repeatedly I think he's an above average coach, but I'm ripping on him this hard to prove a point that he's not the savant people make him out to be, he has significant, exploitable flaws, and that all the bitching on this board about him not coming here and the shots at Richardson are wildly undeserved.

I DESPISE the mentality that has infected this board of late that makes it OK to rip everything about the Panthers organization and praises the 49ers just because they're currently the media fancy, when anyone with a modicum of football IQ can see that squad isn't anywhere as elite as people imagine. I'll go so far as to say that I wouldn't be surprised if they take a serious step back next year. especially in a division that has gotten much tougher.

My beef with Jim Harbaugh and his insufferable crew that runs around this board is well known, but I believe last night's game validated much of my opinions about his ability to coach.

Most of his proponents have conceded he is not schematically savvy, and have instead hung their worship on the premise that he prepares and motivates his team exceptionally well and that is why he is an elite coach.

Except he was woefully unprepared for the biggest game of his entire life. Not just unprepared, but he failed to properly utilize the myriad number of advantages in talent at his disposal, especially at the most crucial point in the entire game! Let me count the ways he showed his poor coaching:

1) On the 49ers opening drive, Terrell Suggs was positioned right outside the left tackle, reading Kaepernick's calls and audibles and relaying them to the other linebackers. The Ravens were fully aware of the run gaps to attack before the plays were even executed.

2) Penalties repeatedly gave the Ravens second chances and destroyed the 49ers momentum on the few pre-outage occasions they were able to gain any ground. This is a direct rebuke to preparedness and coaching.

3) The challenge of the first down call was ludicrous at that juncture of the game. Jim risked a timeout he would sorely need while down by 22 over a half yard on a second down call. Even though he won the challenge the ravens converted the third down anyways.

4) There is no point in running a read option if the quarterback does not keep the ball at some point. Kaepernick had one designed run the entire game, and it was one he audibled to. Against a linebacking corps that simply was not fast enough to chase Kaepernick, the 49ers refused to call designed plays for their best offensive weapon! The vast majority of the ground yardage he gained during the comeback was from scrambles!

5) The second half kickoff TD was a prime example of being completely unprepared, as the 49ers special teams assumed Jones would sit on a line drive kick and let him run it right up the middle for the touchdown. This is in spite of the longstanding adage that teams try to get a jolt from their opening second half plays in the Super Bowl (e.g. Sean Payton's onside kick.)

6) With time of the essence the 49ers still indulged Kaepernick's stupid habit of running the clock down and audibling to his second play almost every snap, directly resulting in them losing two precious timeouts. Say what you want about Kaepernick's physical skills but he has a lot to learn about running an offense.

7) Honestly, if the 49ers had been able to pull this game out it would have always carried an asterisk in my mind. They were given a full free hour to alter their gameplan by the mysteriously timed power outage. Let it be known that the 49ers gametime adjustments, such as they were, were gifted an extraordinary advantage.

8) Much of the "comeback" as it were was spearheaded by the Ravens as it was by anything the 49ers did. The Crabtree touchdown was caused by two Ravens defenders knocking each other off the tackle, Ray Rice coughed up a fumble that led to a field goal, and once Ngata went down the Ravens couldn't get the same pressure up the middle they needed to affect Kaepernick and hold down Gore's runs up the middle.

9) At the goal line, with the Super Bowl hanging in the balance, the 49ers called three pass plays to Michael Crabtree in a row. With one of the game's closest analogues to Cam Newton available to them. And one of the game's best offensive lines. And a winded, slow and old Ravens linebacking corps that had been giving up chunks of yardage repeatedly to Kaepernick. Say what you want about Rivera but when we're at the goal line Cam Newton is going to score that touchdown every goddamn time, and Ron has no qualms with putting it in his best player's hands when the situation calls for it.

10) The 49ers were completely unprepared for the Ravens intentional safety call. Embarrassingly unprepared. And Jim Harbaugh showed his ignorance after the game by complaining about the lack of a holding call. . .which would have resulted in a safety. You don't blow a play dead because of a holding penalty, and the Ravens would have kicked off from the 20 no matter what, so screaming about no flag is entirely irrelevant. You were caught with your pants down, Jim.

Finally, Jim's lack of grace and infantile outbursts were in full display after the game.

His response to his brother telling him he loved him?

"Congratulations."

Regarding the correct no-call of holding on the last play (both players were involved in contact, and the ball was uncatchable, Mike Peirera agrees, and view this breakdown to be certain: http://imgur.com/a/SGoSi#0)

"I really want to handle this with class, but there is no question in my mind that there was a pass interference and a hold on Crabtree on the last one."

Which is it? Pass interference, or holding? And no, Jim, there wasn't. And why are you wanting the refs to bail you out for PASSING THREE TIMES IN A ROW WHEN YOU HAVE KAEPERNICK 5 YARDS FROM PAYDIRT?!?!?!

Now, before people break out the "he just lost the Super Bowl, cut him some slack" excuse, why not see how a great coach handles this kind of disappointment: http://www.steelers.com/video-and-audio/videos/Mike-Tomlin---Post-Game---Super-Bowl-XLV/f08f7380-26cc-43bf-b7be-a31b58965ddc

Finally, let me make something EXPLICITLY CLEAR to some of you: it's not Harbaugh that I really detest, it's those of you who constantly praise him and slam Rivera, Jerry Richardson, and the Panthers organization with zero insight into how our team has far fewer advantages than what Harbaugh has enjoyed to this point, and yet you idiots expect the same results. But I'm sure some of you Harbaugh lovers will spin his woeful unpreparedness, pathological lies, and jackassedness into some sort of glowing review anyways.

If you're going to defend Harbaugh, someone give me one good reason they didn't use Kaepernick once at the goal line. Anyone?

Well guess what: I'm right, you're wrong, and I'll see you all at the draft.

You can point to any game and see be able to pick 10 negative moments or plays out of 160 or three hours of the game. The fact is they have made it to two NFC championships and one Super Bowl and came within 5 yards of winning it. Losing the SB doesn't take away from that accomplishment. Nor suddley not make him a great coach.

Not this poo again.

Do you really expect your delusional and incoherent ramblings about Harbaugh to be read at this point? Everyone plonked you long ago. Do you fantasize that your tantrums and conniption fits could possibly be worth the $0.000000001 worth of electricity used to send them? You seriously think that Harbaugh was "exposed" by losing by three points in the Super Bowl. Does the "Pro Football Website" you write for (most likely Bleacher Report) know about your hatred towards Harbaugh (and lets be honest, it is hate)? The good news for you is that you aren't bitching about being fired, so probably not. Are you that frustrated that you had to write an essay about this poo?

You have no rhythm. You are ridiculous and obnoxious. You are the moral equivalent of a leech. You are a living emptiness, a meaningless void. You are sour and senile. You are a loathsome disease, a dung-bred maggot, a drooling inbred cross-eyed toesucker. You make Quakers shout and strike Pentecostals silent. You have a version 1.0 mind in a version 6.13 world. Your mother had to tie a pork chop around your neck just to get your dog to play with you. You think that http://WWW.GUYMACON....NSULT/INDEX.HTM is the name of a rock band. You believe that P.D.Q. Bach is the greatest composer who ever lived. You prefer L. Ron Hubbard to Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. Hee-Haw is too deep for you. You would watch test patterns all day if the other inmates would let you.

Bottom line: You're a filthy football hipster and the only one on this planet who thinks Harbaugh is not good.

I actually hope that he is fired in two years, so we can pick him up.

    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
    • In my dream, we somehow luck into a top 2 pick and someone wants a QB bad and doesn’t want anyone else to jump them. Somehow we’ll probably screw up the picks anyway, but it would be nice to do even partially what Chicago did to us. We’d have to lose out, which is a decent possibility unless Tampa is resting. We need Atlanta to stay within a game because Atlanta beat Tampa twice. The rest of the draft slots are who knows because Jax plays the Raiders and then Tennessee and you never know who will rest starters. I think we are top 7 unless we somehow pull out 2 more wins. The 4 win teams have higher SOS and there is only one 5 win team with the same SOS. If we win 1 of 3, we still should stay in top 7. If we lose out and the Jax games work for us, we can easily be top 3.
