Folks,

I am a bit surprised by the lack of love for Andrew Luck. That team barely won 2 games before he was drafted. They lost a ton of talent. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year and he, with a poor offensive line and 1 legit receiver (do you know who their RB is? probably not) took them to the dance. He offensive statistics were amazing.

Russell WIlson has a great defense, which gives him more chances and allows the play calling to be more aggressive.

RGIII is very good, but his numbers are a bit inflated because many of his passes were short, safe ones. Still, he is the real deal.

Tannehill will be very good with patience. Whoever said that--right on.

Cam is the same. He is such an incredible athlete, people expect incredible all the time. He needs a RT and RG and for Silatolu to get better. A WR too. What he did with a rookie LG, a backup center, a scrub at RG and a weak RT is amazing. Wait until Gettlemen gets him a line and an option beyond Smitty and Olsen.

Wilson is a good player, but he will get figured out.

Dalton is a decent QB, but he is not great and never will be.

I think some of the reason he doesn't get love was due to the pre-draft hype that made hims sound like a God, but instead you got Cam Newton 2012 (albeit with 11 wins), minus the 750 yards rushing.

I thought at the beginning of the year, Wilson was spoon fed and relied mainly on his defense and running game (as his yardage stats reinforce this). Yeah, you could say that. However, as the year progressed and as his team proceeded into the playoffs, Wilson showed a poise and a mastery of the QB position (particularly with covered receivers or when the play broke down) that the other Rookie and 2yr QB's don't currently possess. Now, does having Marshaun Brooks back there and a great defense help? Sure does; Maybe/probably. But I didn't see Kaepernick or RG3 buy time BTLOS like Wilson did towards the end of the season and during the playoffs, with their great rushing attacks/and or defense.

Now, if you're asking me will Cam, Luck, Tannehill, and maybe Kaepernick be better than Wilson in the art/craft of Quarterbacking a few years from now??...You could be right. The other guys (at least the good ones) have a higher upside, indeed. RG3, I'm not sure about, cause his offense helps him as much as anyone at the moment.

Agree for the most part. This is a decent young group that will be fun to watch for 10 years. I hate it for the chiefs, because I see nothing in this draft. I think Smith is the most interesting and has to go to the right system/coach, but Barkley is so beaten down, he could be the best of this bunch.

I'm jealous of Kaepernick... He wouldn't seem nearly as good if it weren't for the team. I bet I could go out there and run for 20 yards untouched with that oline. ..and that's saying something. He is not nearly as good as he is made out to be...

And look at his arms. The dude looks like a thug out there.

Funny how everyone was/is using The Golden Calf of Bristol's four season wins and backed into the play-offs as proof that he should be a starter but folks want to deminish Colin's accomplishments because he didn't start a season...GTFO.

So tired of the selective BS feed to us by our media.

Let's be honest, the qb class of 2011 is the best of the young class so far.

I think he is underrated. He had some great receivers, but he has some tools. I cannot figure out why he is not rated higher. What have you heard?

Will KC take a QB with the first pick? I would trade down, but I do not think anyone wants the pick.

I think Barkley was overrated, but now i think he is underrated. I do not see him getting past Buffalo.

Only Cam and Kap and maybe Luck. I believe are good enough to be that "New Breed" QBs.

Wilson and RGIII are more of the Tarkenton type QB. The other 7 are just talented young QB.

1. Cam I think is an underrated pocket Passer. When he started using the checkdowns he became a highly effective in all aspects. His Size and Wheels IMO puts him above Kapernick

2. Kapernick was one of those players I would love to have seen up pick up to grow along with Newton. He was a steal for SF. He like Cam can do it all. IMO the closest player to Cam

3. Wilson is heady and a good leader. Also would have been my OROY. The guy makes it happen. Like RGIII he is in great danger when he runs. If he ever gets blind sided from a closing LB he is going to get lit up. I like his game and if he was as big as Cam, he would be #1.

4. RGIII. A fantastic leader and can make things happen. Too brittle to be a threat running the football. He could have had his career ruined by Shanahan. Same with Wilson. Size of Cam he would be as good if not better.

5. Dalton is a benefactor of a good defense and a top notch WR in Green. Mobile but not a real threat to put 50 ypg rushing.

6. Tannehill This guy is going to be a tough QB when they give him some players to go with him. Mobile like Dalton but not dangerous.

7. Luck could swing either way. He could be the next greatest thing or a notch above daddy Oliver Luck. He clearly has a winning IT factor about him but he also can and will make some game altering decisions. He is about the most Hyped player in recent years. They were ranting and raving about him before the 2011 College football season was over. I am ecstatic that he chose to stay at Stanford. No second guessing about our pick.

8. Locker has the tool and like Luck he could become something good or turn into another R. Leaf.

9 Ponder needs some WR help. Once Harvin went down, He had his moments but I am not sold one way or the other. It didn't hurt to have A. Peterson.

10. Weeden could flourish with Chudinski. Has the tools but a 26yr old rookie? I think he could be the type of player that could hold the fort down until Cleveland gets a QB for the future.

11. Gabbert needs some help on the offensive side of the ball. Not just WR but offensive line to determine whether he will ever get ahead. He kind of reminds me of David Carr when he started with Houston.

I think Dalton iand Kaepernick set the standard for what you pray to find in the second round, and I agree with you. It is hard to say about value for QBs because I expect Geno to go early--maybe first overall. I also expect another QB to go in the first.

Arizona nor Buffalo have ever really reached in the first round for a QB. I think one will, probably Buffalo. Of the remaining QBs, who is most seasoned and ready for a pro-style offense? Matt Barkley. However, I think (hunch) they could trade up with KC and get Smith. That is my wild prediction.

The reason I think Buffalo might move up is because Buddy Nix (GM) said they would. The statement was made, based on timing, to the fans, not the other teams (bluff). I think he wants a run/pass threat, and Smth is the best in that area.

Then again, Buddy did not say which round. As he studies the draft, he might decide that value at QB can be found by trading down into the bottom of the first; you are not going to see a team in the bottom half of the draft take a QB, so by trading down, you get the QB you want before the teams at the top of the second round start feeding on the QBs who are there.

So, to my point: Barkley (to me) is as good as several other QBs taken in the top 10 in recent years, however, you could argue that most have underperformed. Have teams learned their lesson? I doubt it. Barkey, Glennon, Bray, --just about all QBs after Smith should not get drafted until day 3. If one rises, I say it is Barkley or Glennon.
