Higgins "Bobcats Will Sign Max-Level Free Agent"

How would you want your lineup?

Kemba

McLemore

Wiggins

MKG

Center (Biz)

Thats awfully small.

I never said that was the end of it. We should have plenty of money in 2014 to sign a BIG.

I would never play MKG as PF. Wiggins? maybe.

But like I said in another thread, best move is for us to take Randle.

Kemba, McLemore, MKG, Randle, Biz?

But how could we pass up on Wiggins if hes there?

Eh, not that it matters, but MKG is much more of a 4 than Wiggins is.

Definitely couldn't pass up Wiggins.

Why are you so high on McLemore? For me I would take Noel and Shabazz before him. What are your reasons why?

I'm not going to lie to you. I haven't seen any of the three play this year. Too busy so just off YouTube HLs.

I was the no.1 Noel fan beginning of the season. After seeing how our team played this season, we really lack that sharp shooter. Hendo and Gordon are not the long term answer. I've been hard on Hendo but I gotta admit that he's vastly improved. Still he's just a great 6th man off the bench.

I think Shabazz will be drafted ahead of McLemore bc of his recognition. But at the next level I really believe McLemore will be the better player. He reminds me a lot of Ray Allen. Can shoot from almost anywhere. I have him rated higher than both Beal and Waiters when they came out last draft.

Shabazz is a better all around player. But I think he's best suited to be a SF not SG. He gets a lot of point inside the arc/paint with floaters. His outside range isnt as great as McLemore imo; his shots seem heavy. I compare Shabazz to Andre Iguodala. We need someone who can be a threat outside, not another SF who gets his points down low; we already have MKG for that.

I couldnt find much on McLemore but here:

(All signs point to McLemore being a future All Star and your typical "Franchise" player)

yeah, I haven't seen as much of Shabazz, and I'm sure he'll be fine for what he does, but McLemore strikes me as

a guy who will be a consistent all-star. Hard to pass up a player like that.

and I think his game fits Kemba's particularly.

Bazz is still coming around though, gonna be fun to watch him in March Madness. I have no problems with Noel,

who will be a good player, maybe a very good player if he develops some offense several years down the road.

But he doesn't strike me as a someone who could make the all star game more than once.

I think that both will be very good NBA players and All-Stars (Bazz and McLemore), but I feel like Shabazz will be the better player. Shabazz has a very good jumper, can create his own shot, has a very strong body (6-6 225), is very athletic and can score in a variety of ways. I really like McLemore as he's pretty athletic and a fantastic shooter. I'm not going to call him the next Ray Allen, because in EVERY draft someone is labeled as the next Ray Allen lol. It's really not fair to any prospect to be compared to perhaps the best pure shooter of all time. The only thing that I am a bit concerned with is McLemore's ability to create his own shot. Every game I have watched and every highlight video I have watched it is just littered with him coming off screens... nothing wrong with that as playing off ball is a lost art and can be VERY valuable if you are highly skilled at it, but I'd like to see him create his own offense. We need someone that can kind of share the ball with Kemba as we know that he's not a super skilled playmaker right now (and we're not sure if he will ever be -- although I think that he has the potential to lead us to a championship as our starting PG).

Just by watching those few clips, which isn't doing either player justice, I feel as though Shabazz doesn't carry his weight as well. He looks sluggish and lacks any sort of explosion. His form on his jumpers is much more refined than MKG though I do agree he looks more like an Iguodala type than the Harden comparisons nbadraft.net placed on him last year.

That all being said...if you're the bobcats and you know you'll probably have a top three pick again this year...in a year that has McLemore and Bazz likely at the top. Do you make a push for a big using Henderson as trade bait? Or do you take a project big at 15? OR, do you trade Henderson and 15, plus whatever to move higher in this draft to take a big and a SG? If anything the 'Cats have options.

I'll have to disagree with you. I'm not bashing you or starting sissy fights though.

I just see McLemore as the more athletic player compare to Bazz. Bazz also doesn't wow me with his dribbling skills. McLemore has eyes popping athletic ablities and an incredible elevation.

I'm not great at scouting, but McLemore's release look at lot like Ray. I really think its a very good comparison.

McLemore is also a team player; has no ego. I think he's a perfect fit in our very young team.

Bazz makes too many bad shots. He also isn't as good a defender as Ben. Seem like it's just a lack of effort on his part though.

    • I didn't say much bigger. Watch the highlights I linked. Bryce doesn't have the arm strength and/or talent to make the vast majority of the throws Mac made in that video.
    • Tetairoa McMillan.   The last 28 1st overall picks were either a QB, DE, or OT. Seeing as I don't think we'd take an OT in the 1st and give up on Ickey as an LT yet and there doesn't seem to be a clear overall #1 type of QB or DE pick this year, it very well could be a non conventional #1 overall this year, at least in regards from the last almost 3 decades of drafts. If we didn't have Horn, I'd be more open to Hunter as a CB at #1, but we have him so another CB wouldn't be how I'd use a #1 pick.  And as much as I love Legette, if we have SB contending aspirations, I don't think Legette is a #1 on a team like that, but he damn sure is an elite #2 on a team like that.  He's more of the Smith/Higgins/Waddle to Brown/Chase/Hill (in terms of role/impact, not style of play of course). T-Mac is going to be the top ranked WR on every team's board in the end.  He is going to be a true outside #1 WR who is viewed as a consensus Top 5 WR in the game by his second contract in the same way guys like Jefferson and Chase have done.  His height combined with his speed, athleticism, and hands are near impossible to find all in one player, there is a reason his generally used comp is Mike Evans (although as he's not as thick, I personally see him more as an AJ Green). Yes, as an Arizona alum I've admitted to having bias towards the player to begin with.  But he's also someone very widely being put into the Top 5 in mock drafts lately and most of them have him as the first non QB offensive player being taken, so it's not really THAT much of a homer pick on my part anyways. If a QB or DE truly separate themselves as being a can't miss prospect come draft day, I'm open to that discussion, but until then, or if it doesn't happen, T-Mac is my pick 100 times out of 100.
