Another obligatory thread about how someone said Kaepernick is better than Cam

Jaws is the preeminent quarterback evaluator in the analyst game. He notes that Kaepernick has better accuracy than Cam Newton, more size than Robert Griffin III/Russell Wilson and more speed than Andrew Luck. His MLB-caliber pitching arm is as powerful as there is in football. Jaws also believes Kaepernick will evolve into more of a pocket passer as time goes on, exposing him to fewer hits. Kap is the odds-on favorite to win Super Bowl MVP at roughly 2-1.

Btw, 49ers offensive line is ranked first according to PFF, I'm sure that has nothing to do with his success though.

All this based on 9 games, and from a team that gave Alex Smith Peyton Manning-like stats.

Well okay. We'll see? Take it with a grain of salt. Good for him (Jaws).

I'm sure if Kaep throws 3 INT's this weekend, these articles will vanish from the Internet. LOL

But that's the nature of the business. They did the same with Cam. No biggie.

PS: Gregg Cosell of NFL films may be a more respected QB guru.

Exactly, anyone being honest with themselves would say they need a much bigger sample size from Kaep before they can perform a true evaluation.

Just like RG3, I'm also going to need to see what happens when teams have a whole offseason to study their tape. The sophomore slump is real and it's real because in your 2nd year, the opponent knows you better than you know yourself.

Cam went through this and overcame it, I need to see these other young guys do that before I pass judgement.

hes good, but hes got a stud OL, a good system, great coaches, and an elite defense.

plus, many teams they faced this year had done their prep work planning on smith being their QB. if a lack of game tape be used to justify cam's numbers last year, it most certainly can be used to justify kaepernick's.

Kap is awesome and he may very well end up being better than Cam. But Cam is going to be great, Kap is 2 years older and has either 3 or 4 years starting experience in college. He is ahead of Cam in that regard.

But I personally still will take the 23 year old 6'6 250 pound dual threat QB with one of the the strongest arms in the league who is only scratching the surface of his potential over just about anyone you put out there.
