lol....do you even know what that stat is?

Fantasy football points

8 yard slant for Chicago...first down. Norman tackle. Norman gets a fantasy point. Repeat until Chicago wins...Norman's point total goes up.

Okay, so fpt is fantasy points but if you looked past the wpa that I mentioned, Norman still had the best averages over all of the 1's and 2's on the roster. So if you can point to one game to prove your point, as one stated about Claiborne, also think about what happened to Peterson and an that rookie in New York. Case in point, you don't know the stats so until you can come up with your own, then there is nothing else to be said if you can't come up with stats to show that Norman was in the bottom half considering the amount of targets he faced.

Coach kept playing the same coverage over and over again in Chicago.. Not Normans fault

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/10/31/munnerlyn-critical-of-defensive-play-calling-in-loss-to-bears/

They did pick on Norman a lot this year but people also picked on Patrick Peterson his rookie year as well as Moris Claiborne. Rooke CB's struggle all the time

And Norman wasn't playing it correct as was addressed by Rivera ...and it is why teams were picking on him and not Thomas.

I feel like he shouldn't have started the season at 2 CB because of the huge transition from DII School to the NFL. Give him time he has potential

I have to explain to you what your bogus fantasy football stat is yet I am making up stats?

You don't need to look at stats....you just need to watch Norman play from week 3 until he was benched. Opponents figured out he simply have them freebie yards....and played pitch and catch with him racking up tackles. Too big of a liability so he was benched. The other Josh was flawed but at least tried to make opponents earn it.

Rivera benched him despite having nothing but scrubs behind him. That trumps any stat you are scrambling to find.

I guess you are reading what you want to read, Norman was the best corner we had, maybe he wasn't what Rivera wanted but he was an upgrade over Captain. Is Thomas a better corner? I don't know at this point, but it's strange that Rivera benched him when the season was over and not when we still had a chance to make a run.

So in Rivera's mind, Norman gave the team the best chance to win.

I'm not sure if you're serious.......Norman is the guy who basically lost us the Bears game, hmmm who's side did Cutler kept throwing too? Norman's.

Thomas was actually aggressive and competed for the ball, by your logic Beason was started at the MLB position because he was the best option.....when that wasn't the case at ALL.

I don't care what you think, if you think one game was the reason we didn't make it to the playoffs. I don't know if you are serious. The same thing happened with Captain when he was the #2 but I betcha Norman still wasn't the worst corner in the league even during that game. I showed stats, all you guys keep coming with are opinions, which is like bootyholes, everyone has one. Show me the stats for that game then your arguments will have merit.

I bet you don't even know the circumstances and how about when Cam threw the ball at hartsock feet in the end zone during that game who was wide open which could have clinched the game? That was the turning point in my eyes. However, one dude was the reason why that game was lost. I know you can't be serious.

Edit*****

And still Thomas didn't get the start until after we were out of the playoffs, so what does that tell you?

2012 stats:

Captain:

Completion: 65.5 %

Avg yards per catch: 9.4

Nfl Qb rating : 76.6

Norman:

Completion: 67.5

Avg yds: 12.4

Rating: 102.1

Not sure how Norman can be considered a upgrade based on this.

heh you're new around these parts. CRA has an obvious and well-documented hatred toward Smitty. Good ideas and rational opinions on most other subjects, but when it comes to Smitty he's about as critical as they come.

I think his hate for Godfrey goes even deeper.

So, you state outlandish remarks on a forum, and you don't care what I think?

Hmmm, THEN WHAT THE fug WAS THE POINT OF POSTING, IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR OPINION QUESTIONED?

Does that make any fuging sense to you?

You are giving opinions when questioning a players talents. That is meaningless, how many times was he targeted, how many blown coverages, where was he ranked when he started? If you don't know those numbers, you are in fact just going off of your memory. Everyone forgets key points and stopping points, so just because you said he sucks, is that really supposed to matter?

Is your saying he sucks giving anything other than your opinion?

Plus, I gave facts and I let you know where he ranked as far as the team and the league, and that's to prove that if you don't have anything more than your opinion, then you are saying 60% of the #2 corners suck in the league which is ignit.

I lost that site, so where did you find that info. Also, where was Thomas ranked in that equation?
