Panthro was saying that Kentucky wasn't in the SEC, someone else explained to him that they were obviously, and I said that didn't even say anything about Warford being in the SEC. I guess that could be confusing, but why you gotta derail the thread?

This is all wrong, you said Warford wasnt SEC, Panthro questioned that because he knew Kentucky was SEC. Sorry for derailing this thread, I was only clarifying that Warford was SEC because you failed to acknowledge that. Here you are saying that the fact that Warmack plays in the SEC differentiates himself from Warford, obviously implying that Warford does not play in the SEC;

Maybe give the athleticism edge to Warmack and the fact that he plays in the SEC, but other than that I see two pretty identical prospects.

I totally agree with you. I've been high on Warford for a while, and if we could somehow guarantee we'd get Warford in the 2nd I'd rather have him there than Warmack in the 1st.

When I compare Warmack and Warford from both tape and when I saw Warmack in person, I can tell you immediately that Warmack is the better athlete. I know he doesn't look it with his big belly and ill fitting jersey, but this guy is scary in person. I honestly would be happy with either and given the fact I believe Warmack will be gone by #14, I wouldn't be angry if we took Warford in the 2nd even though I think Warmack is that much better.

The main difference between the two is athleticism. Warmack is a much better pull blocker and gets to the second level much faster than Warford which would give us a lot of versatility given the pull blocking ability of both Silatolu and Kalil. On the flip side, we don't really need to have a superb athlete at RG, just a guy to create big holes and pass protect for Cam and our running game. Right now Warford is viewed as a late 2nd-early 3rd rounder, but I believe he'll rise to early to mid 2nd. Warford would certainly be the better value if he's available in the 2nd, but overall I could see Warmack as a LG or RG whilst I could only see Warford as a career RG.

I like this evaluation. Warford has a lot of power, but he doesn't have the speed, quickness, nor the fluidity of Warmack. Warford has trouble with quickly executed stunts, he's caught off guard and sometimes doesn't have the quickness to recover. Another problem is his quickness off the snap, sometimes the defender has engaged him before he has gotten into his stance, which leads to him getting beaten. I almost want to say he's out of gas at times and it's causing him to slow down. Warmack is better in pass protection, but in run blocking it's much closer. Slight edge to Warmack in run blocking, but not a huge difference.

the way you worded it bwood sounded like you only thought warmack played in the sec. thats just how it sounded whether you knew or not.....but yeah kentucky is one of the sorry teams in the sec...so you could miss them easliy if your team is not in the sec.
