Oh don't get me wrong. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he went in the 2nd. It's just that if (by some miracle) Fisher fell to us in the first, We get a good DT or WR in the 2nd, & when the pick we could've had comes up in the 3rd & Warford is still there... The collective facepalm from Panther fans would register 3.5 on the Richter scale.

Even without the miracle, if we picked up Lane Johnson n the 1st & Warford was there in the 3rd...

If Warford made it to the 3rd, who's 3rd round pick will we take him with? I don't like trade-down scenarios to pick up extra picks.. they are unrealistic. If we want Warford.. we'd take him in the 2nd.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying we should try to get a 3rd rounder*, I'm just saying I wish we had the pick due to the talent I'm seeing that could be available in the 3rd.

*If Gettleman managed to trade rape someone I wouldn't be mad mind you, but I see no reason to actively pursue a trade for Warford or anyone else in the 3rd. Besides, maybe Alexander will catch fire & the point will be moot.

idk what (4.35 e) means but i saw a news report that says that by quinton patton's name....i guess it stands for a unofficial 40 time....damnnn that fast.....if he runs that at the combine he gonna go in the late 1st.

I have not read the other posts yet because I do not want to be influenced or not state something because others have. I will start by stating what some of you may not have thought about, however.

For a fourth or fifth round steal, David Quessenberry (OT) is a player who has good size and feet. He won battles on both days. Not sure about his arm length and he could add about 15 pounds, but if we keep/restructure Gross, he would be a great backup and heir apparent to the LT spot. Jordan Mills was good as a RT, but I started thinking, "Wonder how good his run blocking is? At 322, could he play RG?"

The Corners were nice. McFadden made himself some money. Since we are losing Gamble and probably Munnerlyn, we could use McFadden as a Nickel. While I have been praying for Logan Ryan in the second, Poyer and Trufant were nice. I do not think the CBs were as good as they looked, however, because the WRs at the SR bowl are not that good. However, There are seven day 1 starters in this draft (Milner, Banks, Poyer, Rhodes, Ryan, Trufant, and Amerson if he does not play S). Davis from Utah St is decent too. Webb from W&M would be a good nickel.

At WR, I was impressed with Patton, who probably rose from the third or fourth round to being in the lower first round discussions. The rest? Not so much.

Warford is a day 1 starter. I expect him to be on the board when we pick.

Wilcox, the S from Georgia Southern is a sleeper.

I think we are drafting OL in the first, CB in the second round. That would be very smart. I think we will draft Lane Johnson--he is valued around 30 right now, but expect him to climb after the combine. If the Panthers cut or trade Gross, write it down.

Peter Schrager, Fox Sports posted Mock with 3 QBs- Manuel, T.Wilson, Nassib- in top 8! Hard to believe, but would be great for us if teams were that stupid. We'd either get a great OL/DL, or have an opportunity to trade back for someone who wanted top 10 talent

You could see a viable difference in the talent level of Fisher compare to Johnson. I do not want Johnson in the 1st round at all.
